The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing similar works during the last 07 years. The specific requirements are: * Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, * Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, * One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. In the case of composite works, the tenderer must have successfully completed or substantially completed similar works for each component of the tender, with the same percentage and value requirements as mentioned above. The values and percentages mentioned are: - 30% of advertised value of the tender, - 40% of advertised value of the tender, - 60% of advertised value of the tender. Additionally, for subletting of work, the subcontractor must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The amount of Rs 50 lakh is also mentioned as a threshold for subletting of work, below which no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required.
