The bidder should have executed similar electrical works for a minimum amount of 40% of electrification works in a single job during the last 7 years. Similarly, the bidder should have executed similar Fire-fighting and other allied works for a minimum amount of 40% of the works in a single job during the last 7 years. The bidder should have completed: - Three similar completed works, each cost not less than the amount equal to 40% of Estimated cost put to tender. - Or two similar completed works, each cost not less than the amount equal to 60% of Estimated cost put to tender. - Or one similar completed work costing not less than the amount equal to 80% of Estimated cost put to tender. For building works, the number of storeys for the purpose of definition of similar work may be taken as under : - Up-to three storeys buildings: No binding - Four to six storeys buildings: Minimum one building of two storeys - Seven to ten storeys buildings: Minimum one building of five storeys - More than ten storey buildings: Minimum one building of eight storey In case the work involves construction of two or more basements, then it is to be stipulated in the definition of similar work that the agency should have executed one similar work with minimum one basement under one agreement. The bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. The bidder should have had an average annual financial turnover (gross) of 50% of the tender value during the last 3 consecutive years. The bidder should have completed similar works with a minimum value as specified, such as one building of two storeys for six storeys buildings, one building of five storeys for seven to ten storeys buildings, and one building of eight storeys for more than ten storey buildings. The bidder is required to undertake that they will be able to invest a minimum cash of 25% of the contract value of work during implementation. The bidder should also provide evidence of access to a line of credit and availability of other financial resources facilities (10% of contract value).
