The bidder is required to have prior work experience in civil engineering construction works. The bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years, and provide a total monetary value of civil construction work performed for each of the last five years. The bidder should also provide a certificate of executed quantities of work done in any one year of the last 5 (five) years, issued by the authorized Engineer in-charge. The bidder should have an undertaking for investment of minimum cash up to 25% of the value of the work during implementation of the contract, and provide evidence of access to or availability of credit facilities (minimum 10% of notified contract value) certified by the bankers. For unemployed Graduate/Diploma Engineers, the relaxation in qualification criteria includes a minimum annual financial turnover of 25% of the DNIT in any one year, with a weightage of 10% per year for completed works in previous years, and exemption from single similar nature of work performed as a prime contractor.
