The required prior work experience for the bidder includes a minimum annual financial turnover, value of completion of one similar work as a prime contractor, and execution of minimum quantities of major items of work. The annual financial turnover amount should be 60% of the DNIT value up to Rs. 200 Lakh and 75% of the DNIT value for more than Rs. 200 Lakh, in any one year of the respective value of work. The value of similar work completed should be at least 1/3rd of the respective value of work, which is not less than one-third of the contract value. The bidder should have completed quantities of works, which are 40% of the estimated quantity of major items. The bidder should also have experience in similar work, with a total value of civil engineering construction work performed in the last five years. However, specific values for each year are not provided. The bidder should have liquid assets or availability of credit facilities, which is 10% of the DNIT Value, or 10% of the contract value. In terms of specific experience, key personnel such as the Project Manager, Site Engineer, and Plant Engineer should have relevant educational qualifications and experience, ranging from 1 to 5 years. The bidder should provide certificates of executed quantities of work done and similar nature of work done, completed in the last 5 years, and a list of existing commitments with the value of remaining work as on the date of submission of the bid. The bidder should undertake to invest a minimum cash amount of up to 25% of the value of the work during the implementation of the contract.
