The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having completed similar works with a certain value and percentage of the estimated cost put to tender. The bidder should have completed: - Three similar completed works, each cost not less than the amount equal to 40% of Estimated cost put to tender. - Or, Two similar completed works, each cost not less than the amount equal to 60% of Estimated cost put to tender. - Or, One similar completed work costing not less than the amount equal to 80% of Estimated cost put to tender. Additionally, the bidder's experience in civil engineering construction work performed in the last five years is also considered. The value of executed works shall be brought to the current costing level by enhancing the actual executed value of work at a simple interest rate of 7% per annum. The bidder should also have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. The total monetary value of construction work performed during each of the last five years should be provided. In terms of specific values and percentages, the bidder should have executed similar electrical works for a minimum amount of 40% of electrification works, and similar Fire-fighting works for a minimum amount of 40% of the works, in a single job during the last 5 years. The bidder should also have had an average annual financial turnover (gross) of 50% of Estimated Cost put to Tender on construction works during the last 3 consecutive years. The bidder should provide evidence of access to financial resources to meet the qualification requirements, such as cash in hand, lines of credit, etc., with a minimum of 10% of the estimated cost, and undertake to invest a minimum of 25% of the contract value of work during implementation of the contract.
