The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing specific categories of work(s) during the last 7 years. These categories include: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, or (iii) One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. The value and percentage of similar works completed are as follows: - Substantially completed work: 90% of the present contract value (excluding payment made for adjustment of Price variation). - Completed work: The value of the final bill (gross amount), including the PVC amount (if paid). - Similar work: The overall cost, including the PVC amount (if paid), of the completed or substantially completed work. For subletting of work, the subcontractor shall have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor shall be asked for. The bidder should provide details of the maximum value of construction works executed and payment received in any one of the previous three financial years or the current financial year.
