For subletting of work, the subcontractor must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The value of the work to be executed is mentioned as rupees two hundred (200) lakhs and above for a qualified Graduate Engineer, and more than rupees twenty-five (25) lakhs but less than rupees two hundred (200) lakhs for a qualified Diploma Holder (Engineer).
