Excavating in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth; for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out in any kind of soil ,complete all as specified and directed Note : Manual excavation to be done. During excavation if any damage occured to existing cable any type/ water pipe line, it will be contractor responsibilty to get it repair and make functional by providing jointing kit etc without any extra cost. Contractor has to repair it within 24 hrs so that essential service can not be effected due to such damage.If contractor fails to repair it within 24 hrs penalty @ Rs 500/-per hour will be charged to contractor. In this GE decision will be final.

Returning, Filling in, including Spreading, Levelling, Watering and Well Ramming in Layers not exc. 250mm in any kind of soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated Materials (Soils) not exc. 50.00 mtr and depositing where directed at a level not exc. 1.50 mtr above the Starting Point in Soil, complete all as specified and as directed.

Materials and Labour for provision of concrete earthing pit as shown on electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part –I (2009), in PCC (1:3:6) Type C1, pre-cast RCC (1:2:4) type B1 cover slab 54 cm x 54 cm x 5 cm reinforced with 8 mm dia. TMT bars @ 150 mm centre to centre both ways, with one handle for lifting made out of 8 mm dia. MS bar, including demolition of existing damaged earthing pit and including necessary earthwork in any type of soil, complete all as specified and directed.

Supply Only Sodium Chloride (common salt) for artifical chemical treatment of soil for reduction of earth electrode resistance, complete all as specified. Notes:- (i) Material shall be supplied in standard packaging as per manufacturer's standards (ii) Material shall be delivered in the store yard of AGE E/M GE (AF) Tezpur and receipt voucher obtained.

Supply Only charcoal for artifical chemical treatment of soil for reduction of earth electrode resistance, complete all as specified. Notes:- (i) Material shall be supplied in standard packaging as per manufacturer's standards (ii) Material shall be delivered in the store yard of AGE E/M GE (AF) Tezpur and receipt voucher obtained.

M & L in repair Air termination, single pointed, copper rod 12mm dia and 300 mm long complete fixed on wall/roof including fittings and fixing arrangement all as specified and directed..

M&L in repair for Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75 x 75 x 25 mm drilled and screwed incl 3 Nos 8mm dia 25mm long hexagonal head screws for fixing strips to test point including necessary fixing arrangement to fix test point terminal block in junction box complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing copper strip of size 20 x 3.15 mm as earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed on "V" type porcelain insulator, 4 BM, heavy duty ( ceramic bus bar support insulator off white colour of suitable for mounting strip of 20 mm wide x 3.15 min thick) saddle to wall, buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required 20 x 3.15 mm copper strip brazing to each joints and connected with by providing brass nut bolts and washer all as specified and directed by Engr in Charge. Note : Insulators shall be provided on every 50 cm. (Minimum 2 x insulators to be provided in every 1 x metre of strip and rate of the same deemed to included in quoated rates)

Supply and fixing copper strip of size 32 x 6 mm as earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed on "V" type porcelain insulator 10 BM heavy duty ( ceramic bus bar support insulator off white colour of min size of 36 mm width x 60 mm length with 36 mm width bus bar mounting base) saddle to wall, buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required 32 x 6 mm copper strip brazing to each joints and connected with by providing brass nut bolts and washer all as specified and directed by Engr in Charge.Note : Insulators shall be provided on every 50 cm. (Minimum 2 x insulators shall be provided in every 1 x metre of strip deemed to be included in quoated rates)

Supply and fixing Galvanised strip of size 32 x 6 mm as earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed on "V" type porcelain insulator 10 BM heavy duty ( ceramic bus bar support insulator off white colour of min size of 36 mm width x 60 mm length with 36 mm width bus bar mounting base) saddle to wall, buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required 32 x 6 mm cgalvanised strip brazing to each joints and connected with by providing brass nut bolts and washer all as specified and directed by Engr in Charge.Note : Insulators shall be provided on every 50 cm. (Minimum 2 x insulators shall be provided in every 1 x metre of strip deemed to be included in quoated rates)

Materials and Labour for,earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required 4 mm dia galvanised iron or steel wire, complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and Laying galvanized steel tubing,40 mm bore, light grade, in trenches or fixed to poles/Walls etc, for earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead protection,complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and Fix in repairs, brass screw bolts (machine made),diameter of shank 8 mm, length of bolt 25 mm long,with hexagonal heads at one end and screwed the other, each screwed end to be fitted with washers and one hexagonal or square nut,complete all as specified and directed.

Materials and Labour for, brazing of mechanical joints in earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead from one end to other end, complete all as specified and directed.

Refixing of existing serviceable copper / aluminium / GI strip taken out under item No. above here in before , on top of "V" type procelain insulator ( ceramic bus bar support insulator off white colour of suitable size for mounting of insulator) fixing strip on insulator with brass nuts and bolt ,screws, aluminium cleats etc.( Procelain insulator if replaced shall be measured separetly) duly straightened properly and fixing in neat dressed manner as directed by Engineer in charge. Note: (i) Proclelain insulator to be measured and paid seperately under relevant item

Supply and Fix in repairs,36 Watts,LED recessed full lit luminaire,size 600 mm x 600 mm with glare free uniform illumination,lumen efficacy >100 Lumen/Watt,complete all as specified and directed. [Cat No.TCR-145-36-65-SL-NWH/TCR-145-36-57-SL-NWH of Make 'Crompton Greaves' or equivalent Model of Make 'Wipro'/'Philips'/'GE']

Supply and Fix in repair, Cable Junction Box, IP66 ‘halogen free and weather proof’, size 205 mm (L) x 255 mm (B) x 112 mm (H), with integrated membranes/ metric knock outs for cable entry for cable size 10-25 sq mm,without terminals,all as per Cat No.DK 2500 G of Make “Hensel” or equivalent Model of Make ‘Sintex Industries Ltd’/'C&S Electric Ltd',fixed to wall/ pole,complete all as specified and directed.

Preparation of old painted,concrete or plaster surfaces of exposed portion of existing concrete earthing pit of dimensions as shown on electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part –I (2009) and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint (ordinary tint) including re- writing of Earthing Pit No.,Date of Testing, Earth Resistance value etc. on existing display board of earthing pit with synthetic enamel paint,complete all as specified and directed.

S&F for Earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 6.0 mm thick buried directly in ground ( earth pit not less than 2.25 meter deep below ground level) with the top edge of the earth plate not less than 1.5 meter below normal ground level connected to galvanized earth lead wire 4mm dia by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washer of galvanized iron or of steel all as shown in electrical plate No.3 of MES SSR parts-I and including excavation & earth work in any type of soil/stone ,disposal of soil , providing alternate layers of charcoal and common salt, refilling of pit with agriculture soil, construction of PCC earth chamber in mix 1:3:6 type c-1 with 40 mm thick RCC 1:2:4 type B-J cover reinforced with 8mm dia MS bars both ways with lift hook made out of 8 mm dia bar, watering arrangement with funnel and wiremesh and watering pipe of 20mm dia GI light grade and 15mm dia light grade pipe for earth lead protection and testing on completion,including taking out old unserviceable complete all as specified and directed. (Note: (i) Unit rate of earthing deemed to be included with GI wire 4 mm, GI pipe light grade protection pipe 15 mm up to 7.5 RM) (ii) Contractor has to bring agriculture soil from outside of defence land and fill in earth pit to acheive desired result as the soil resisitivity is very high. . (iii) All the joints in GI strip and connectgion with earth plate to be welded through brazing and in addition by providing double brass nut bolt and washer. (iv).Costing of welding and nut bolts are deemed to be included in the unit rate

M&L for Earthing complete with Galvanised steel earth plate electrode of size 600 x 600 x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground with earth pit not less than 3.25 meter deep below ground level with top edge of plate not less than 2.5 meter below normal ground level connected to galvanised iron strip 32x6 mm as earth lead strip by means of nuts, bolts, check nuts, washers of galvanized iron as steel all as shown electrical plate No 3 connected to earthing test point all as specified or indicated including testing on completion, surrounded from all sides by mixture of charcoal and common salt and elctrode by means of steel and GI pipe light grade 20mm bore dia bore for watering funnel with wire mesh, CI cover with frame , PCC chamber pit with PCC 1:3:6 type C-2 excavation and earth work all as shown in electrical plate No 3 connected to earthing test point all as specified. NOTE : 1. The unit rare includes for protectionh GI pipe of 40mm and watering pipe of 20mm bore including excavation for earth pit in any type of soil/disintegrate rock. 2. Contractor has to bring agriculture soil from outside of defence land and fill in earth pit to acheive desired result as the soil resisitivity is very high. 3. The cost of GI strip of 32x6 from top of earth plate upto 7.5 meter above ground level is deemed to be included in the unit rate. 4. All the joints in GI strip and connectgion with earth plate to be welded through brazing and in addition by providing double brass nut bolt and washer. 5.Costing of welding and nut bolts are deemed to be included in the unit rate

Materials and Labour for maintenance free chemical earthing system using single spike 17.2mm dia, 3000mm long high tensile low carbon steel circular rod, molecularly bonded with copper on outer surface (minimum copper bonding thickness of 250 microns) meeting the requirements of Under Writers laboratories (UL) 467-2007 or latest with 250mm long copper strips of size 50X3 mm, exothermally welded on top of electrode complete including augering (boring) 100-125mm dia hole as required for electrode in any type of soil and back filling with combination of two chemical compounds (one is earth enhancing chemical compound as per IEEE 80 2000 clause 14.5 (d), conforming to IEC 62561-7, minimum quantity of compound used 15Kg and second is earth enhancing back filled compound as per IEEE 80 2000 Clause 14.5(c), conforming to IEC 62561-7, min quantity of compound used 25Kg), thus minimum total qty 40 Kg per electrode, conforming to IEEE/BS standrads including pit cover light weight made out of high quality polymer with lid made of FRP, including nessary testings and commissioning, complete all as specified and as directed. Notes:- (i) The work of earthing shall be carried out by authorised trained rep of OEM. (ii) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall be as per users requirement as desired by Engr-in-Charge but it should be below 01 Ohm. At certain locations, it may not be possible to achieve desired earth resistance with one electrode / pit due to higher soil resistivity,in such cases, provision of loop earthing consisting of more than one earth electrode pits shall be done. The number of pits required shall be decided based on the resistivity of soil and resistance achieved for the earth pits already installed. The distance between two successive earth electrodes shall not be less than 3 metres. (iii) The procedure mentioned here-in-before for one earth pit shall be repeated for other earth pits. (iv) Additional earth electrode pits and loop conductor shall be measured and paid seperately .

(v) The quoted rate shall also be included the following elements: (a) Complete earthwork including drilling holes for electrode. (b) Earhing electrode-01(One) No Only (c) Backfilling carbon based ground enhancing compound (GEC). (d) Pit cover light weight made out of high quality polymer with lid made of HDG steel. (e) Soil suitable for agricultural purpose required for each pit (f) Copper strip as earthing lead of size 50mmx3mm, 250 mm long only, beyond 250mm, other size will be measured and paid for separately under respective item(s) in this BOQ. (g) All Labour and T&P required including testing of earth network. (vi) Testing for earth resistance shall be carried out in presence of GE and Engr-in-Charge. (vii) Taking out existing unserviceable earthing system complete. (viii) Original purchase vouchers for copper rod and back fill compound and manufacturer test certificate of entire quantity shall be produced by the contractor before commencement of work. (ix) The Earthing shall be carried out with Soil suitable for Agricultural purpose.
