Laying old size sub class ‘B’ brick for PVC/ XLPE under ground cable protection in trench, layed in the manner that width of brick to be peperndicular to the axis of cable , over LT under ground cable (retreived from taking out of old unsv cable) all as specified and directed.

Horizontal boring of holes, under road/ pavement / hard standing etc.,not exceeding 10 Metres in length, in any type of soil, suitable for passing through upto 100 mm bore, galvanised steel tubing,complete all as specified and directed.

Cutting chase for pass through cable protection pipe ,etc.in existing plain cement concrete pavement/ hardstanding/aprons etc. and making good, cutting in plain cement concrete (1:3:6) Type C1(using 20 mm graded aggregate),exceeding 20 cm but not exc 50 cm girth, complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and Laying 32 mm bore,low density polyethylene pipes (LDPE) of pressure rating 6 kg/ cm2, in trenches or fixed to poles/Walls etc,for cable protection, with and including taking out existing unservieable complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and Laying galvanized steel tubing,50 mm bore, light grade, in trenches or fixed to poles/Walls etc, for cable protection, with and including taking out existing unservieable complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing swaged & welded MS steel tubular poles, overall length 9.00 metre long, complete specification as per 410-SP-25 of IS: 2713-1980 complete with cast iron base plate, final taper plug, pole cap, bolts/nuts, screws/washes, painting with two coats of black bituminous paint through out internally and externally upto planting depth and two coasts of black and yellow alternate strips 30 cm each upto 1.2 mtr from the ground level. The remaining external position shall be painted with two coat of aluminium paint and one coat of cement based paint on PCC copping of pole including numbering of pole with black syenthic paint/ Stricker including dismantling/removing of old damaged Poles of any description and taking asides including all electrical connection, demolition of existing PCC foundation and making good to disturbed surface complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. (iii) All LED street light/flood lights shall be properly connected with earth dolly provided with fittings and steel poles earth bolt. (iv)All LED lights have replacement warranty of 3 years from the date of completion of the contract accordingly condition 46 of GCC (IAFW-2249) shall be amended to extent mention above. Contractor has to submitt warranty certificate from manufacturer . Payment of light fitting will be released after receiving of 3 year replacement warranty certificate. (v) The LED lights will replaced by the contractor free of cost in the case of manufacturing defects and Failure due to electrical impact if not connected properly with earth. Hence it is contractor responsibility to connect the light fitting earth wire and shall be grounded properly. (vi) The contractor shall submit the surge protection certificate and Type test certificate LM 79, LM 80 for luminaries. (vii) All LED fitting shall be identified by printing or fixing stickers duly mentioned the C.A number and date of completion. (viii) For any change in product or change in catalogue No. etc due to technological upgradation, letter has to be obtained from the lighting company on their letter head signed by an offical of National level. (ix) All T& P required at site for installation of light on Pole / Bldg /Tower or at any location shall be arranged by contractor.(X) If the clamp is not provided by manufacturer,s , it shall be the responsibility of the contractor to provide the same and the cost for the same is deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

Disconnecting electrical connections,taking down carefully existing unserviceable LED street light fitting and LED flood light luminaries from pole/building/watch tower/masts/ sunshelter etc. dismantling of parts,replacement of unserviceable spares as required, reassebling after repairing/replacement of the same and re-fixing in the original position,reconnection of electrical connections,testing and commissioning,complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Spares will be measured and paid for sepeerately under respective items of this BOQ.

Material & labour for earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode 600 mm x 600 mm x 3.15 mm thick burried directly in ground (Earth pit not less than 4 mtr deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 3.25 mtr below ground level connected to copper strip 20 x 3 mm as earth lead by brass nut bolts washer including brazing the copper strip with copper plate as shown in electrical plate No 3 connected to earth test point including necessary excavation for earth pit in hard dense soil, rocky / disintergate rock, filling charcoal and salt around the plate in layers , filling the pit with low resistivity agriculture soil free from stones, to be bring from out side defence land and mixed with Bentonite , (3 bags of 25 Kg each ), construction of inspection pit ( earth pit chamber) of brick work of size 600 x 600 x 600 mm with PCC copping of 1 :1.5: 3, 12.5 mm aggregate A1 with MS sheet 2.8 mm plate cover on frame of angle iron of size 40 x 40 x 5 mm with , wire mess, funnel, test point, 40 mm dia GI protection pipe light grade and 20 mm GI peforated pipe for watering etc complete and testing on completion. The electrode and lead shall be of copper all as specified with and including taking out unsericeable complete and directed by Engr-in-charge (Copper strip upto 7.5 RM will be included in the item rate and copper strip beyond 7.5 RM will be measured seperately (Note : (i) Contractor shall use low reisistivity fresh agriculture soil , mixed with 3 x Bags of bentonite clay of 25 Kg each for refilling the pit to achive the desired resistance. (ii) copper strip will be laid below 60 cm from ground level and connected to test point through plinth protection (iii) Necessary cost of repair to plinth protection as per existing specification and connected plate and earth continuity conductor by providing 2 x brass nuts bolts and brazing of joints, bringing argiculture soil from out side defence land and cost of 3 x Bags of bentonite deemed to be included in the item rate. (iv) Contractor has to clear the side and disposed off the excavated soil from pit on completion of work. (v) Contractor has to submit test report of earthing after completing the earthing. (vi) Bentonite clay should be Conf to IS 6186: 1986. (vii) The cost of Copper strip of size 20X3 mm from top of earth plate upto 7.5 meter above ground level is deemed to be included in the unit rate of above item.and copper strip beyond 7.5 RM will be measured seperately. (viii). All the joints in copper strip and connection with Earth Plate to be welded through brazing and in addition by proving brass nut bolt and washer are deemed to be included in the unit rate. (viiii) Cost of brazing / welding and nut bolts are deemed to be included in the unit rate. (ix) Cost includes removal of excavated soil upto a distance of 100 mtrs.

Materials and Labour for maintenance free chemical earthing system using single spike 17.2mm dia, 3000mm long high tensile low carbon steel circular rod, molecularly bonded with copper on outer surface (minimum copper bonding thickness of 250 microns) meeting the requirements of Under Writers laboratories (UL) 467-2007 or latest with 250mm long copper strips of size 50X3 mm, exothermally welded on top of electrode complete including augering (boring) 100-125mm dia hole as required for electrode in any type of soil and back filling with combination of two chemical compounds (one is earth enhancing chemical compound as per IEEE 80 2000 clause 14.5d, conforming to IEC 62561-7, minimum quantity of compound use 15 Kg and second is earth enhancing back filled compound as per IEEE 80 2000 Clause 14.5(c), conforming to IEC 62561-7, min quantity of compound used 25Kg), thus minimum total qty 40 Kg per electrode, conforming to IEEE/BS standrads including pit cover light weight made out of high quality polymer with lid made of HDG steel, including nessary testings and commissioning, complete all as specified and as directed. Notes:- (i) The work of earthing shall be carried out by authorised trained rep of OEM. (ii) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall be as per users requirement as desired by Engr-in-Charge but it should be below 01 Ohm. At certain locations, it may not be possible to achieve desired earth resistance with one electrode / pit due to higher soil resistivity,in such cases, provision of loop earthing consisting of more than one earth electrode pits shall be done. The number of pits required shall be decided based on the resistivity of soil and resistance achieved for the earth pits already installed. The distance between two successive earth electrodes shall not be less than 3 metres. (iii) The procedure mentioned here-in-before for one earth pit shall be repeated for other earth pits. (iv) Additional earth electrode pits and loop conductor shall be measured and paid seperately . (v) The quoted rate shall also be included the following elements: (a) Complete earthwork including drilling holes for electrode.(b) Earhing electrode-01(One) No Only (c) Backfilling carbon based ground enhancing compound (GEC). (d) Pit cover light weight made out of high quality polymer with lid made of HDG steel. (e) Soil suitable for agricultural purpose required for each pit (f) Copper strip as earthing lead of size 50mmx3mm, 250 mm long only, beyond 250mm, other size will be measured and paid for separately under respective item(s) in this BOQ. (g) All Labour and T&P required including testing of earth network. (vi) Testing for earth resistance shall be carried out in presence of GE and Engr-in-Charge. (vii) Taking out existing unserviceable earthing system complete. (viii) Original purchase vouchers for copper rod and back fill compound and manufacturer test certificate of entire quantity shall be produced by the contractor before commencement of work. (ix) The Earthing shall be carried out with Soil suitable for Agricultural purpose.
