PIPELINE INSTALLATION AT MAJOR CANALS/ RIVER/ SH/ NH/ RLY'S BY HDD TECHNIQUE
Receiving, taking over & Installing of owner supplied free issue 3 layer Externally PE coated & internally expoxy coated line pipes of size 16", W.T. 11.13 mm, API 5L Gr. X-65, PSL-2 grade from owner's designated point of issue. For complete works of the major canal/ SH/ NH/ RLY by horizontal drilling method (HDD) including all additional drilled lengths necessitated by Contractor's design of water crossings, carrying out all topographical, hydrological and geo-technical surveys required for design and construction of crossing, preparation of all necessary design & construction drawings and procedures for Owner's approval, mobilisation and de-mobilisation at site(s), supply & Installation of all materials as per "Contractor's scope of supply" including supply & installation of 6" size, 6.4mm API 5L Gr. B/IS:1239 CS conduit pipe for OFC in required lengths, all consumables, equipment, manpower and other resources and acquiring the required land for site preparations, and execution of, but not limited to, the following works in accordance with specifications, drawings, and as per provisions of the Contract document and instructions of the Owner/ Engineer-in-Charge. Strings preparation including welding, NDT of welds and re-bevelled areas, radiography, pre-testing of completed string, corrosion coating of field joints, inspection of corrosion coating and repair of defects, Pre-construction surveys, Installation of pipeline and CS conduit/ optical fibre cable conduit by horizontal directional drilling to the correct profile as per approved drawings and specification, Strapping of CS conduit with main pipeline, Pulling of optical fibre cable in inter-duct of flexible HDPE tubing in the conduit mentioned above, Post-installation hydrotest including leaks and repair of defects and retesting, etc. for defects attributed to Contractor's faulty work, Supply, fabrication and construction of protective fencing as required, Supply, fabrication and erection of pipeline markers, Restoration and clean-up etc., Preparation of as-built drawings and other records etc., All other works not specifically listed herein, but required as per specifications, drawings, provision of contract document, calculations, and construction method statements, leading to successful completion of works.
Note : 1. Rates quoted shall be applicable for multiple crossings at different locations.
2. Contractor shall be paid based on distance between tie-in points at two ends of crossing and not between points of entry & exit.
3. The work involved Supply and Installation of 1 nos of 6" CS pipe for OFC (IS 1239/ API 5L GR. B) along with carrier pipe in each HDD crossing.
4. If required, contractor shall arrange additional land for machine & String preparation.Cost is deemed to include in this item only.
5. Pipe used for the HDD shall be externally coated with Abrasion Resistant Overlay (ARO) Sacrificial Coating (before installation) for protecting 3LPE Coating during HDD Pull Through.
6. Minimum depth shall be 2.5 M below Scour levelor or minimum 15M below bed level for all River Crossings & Minimum depth shall be 4 M below bed level for Nala & other micro water body crossings.

c) Conctrator shall depute dedicated Experienced Controlling/ Liasoning In charge with dedicated Liasoning team, having thorough knowledge of local language.
d) Liaisoning team member should be present at each location of pipeline execution work so that work is not getting hampered due to communication gap with farmers or other involved agencies / persons free ROU and should be able to lay the pipeline, complete the restoration, other testing , pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and arrange subsequent visits and post laying inspection or repairs if any for entire pipeline route till the handing over of the pipeline.

Excavation, Dismantling & Transportation of the Existing Pipeline including;- Locating of existing pipeline, excavation, cutting of the pipeline in joints , in average 12 mtr. Length, bevelling, transporation of pipe to the designated storage yard, backfilling & restoraration of the ROU to the satisfaction of the authorities, all HSE compliance shall be carried out as directed by Engineer In Charge/ Owner.
