The required prior work experience for the bidder includes quantities of work executed as a prime contractor or work performed as a nominated sub-contractor in the last three years. The bidder should have completed works with a value and quantity that meet the qualification criteria. Specifically, the bidder must have completed at least one work of a similar nature under a Government Department, with a value not less than 40% of the tender amount, within the last three years. The bidder is required to have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last three years. They should have achieved a minimum financial turnover of 67% of the value of the contract over the last 5 years and satisfactorily completed at least one similar work of value not less than 40% of the estimated value of the contract in any one year of the last 3 years, with a completion rate of not less than 90% of the contract value. The bidder should have executed a minimum quantity of certain items of work, such as cement concrete, brick work, steel work, and water supply and sanitary works. The bidder is also required to invest a minimum of 25% of the bid value for the work. Additionally, one undertaking requires the bidder to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the value of the work during implementation of the contract.
