The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last three years. The bidder should have completed quantities of work executed as prime contractor, work performed in the past as a nominated sub-contractor, in the last five years. Specifically, the bidder should have experience of having successfully completed works during the last 5 years ending on the last day of submission of tender. The cost of work shall mean the gross value of the completed work, including the cost of material supplied by the respective client, but excluding those supplied by the client free of cost. The bidder must have completed: i. Three similar completed works, each costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost put to tender. ii. Two similar completed works, each costing not less than 60% of the estimated cost put to tender. iii. One similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost put to tender. Additionally, the bidder should have executed in any one year, the minimum quantities of the following items of works: - Cement Concrete (including RCC and PCC) - Brick work - Steel work (Reinforcement steel) - Electrification The bidder should also possess valid licenses for executing Electrical and Anti-Termite works. In terms of key personnel, the required prior work experience is as follows: 1. Project Manager: B.E. Civil + 5 Years Exp. 2. Site Engineer: B.E. Civil + 1 Years Exp. Or Diploma in Civil Engg + 3 years Exp 3. Quantity Surveyor: B.E. Civil + 1 years Exp. Or Dip. Civil + 3 years Exp. 4. Electrical Engineer: B.E Elect. + 2 Years Exp. Or Dip. Elect. + 5 years Exp. 5. Electrical Technician: ITI in Electrician + 2 Years Exp. The value of completed Civil works of similar nature construction works should be at least 80% of the tender amount. Additionally, the annual financial turnover in a single year in the last three financial years should be a minimum of 67% of the tender amount. The bidder should invest a minimum of 25% of the bid value for the work. The bidder should have a good financial standing, and the bank should be able to provide overdraft/credit facilities to meet their working capital requirements for executing the contract. In case of existing works in hand of the Bidder, the progress of works must be up-to-the-mark with more than 50% complete.
