Execution of item(s) of works covered by chapters 1 to 25 of USSOR-20.. of .............. Railway. Note: This bill will be operated for only those works which cannot be executed by operation of BOQ items in bill no. 1 to 9.

1002-Earthwork in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) in cutting, in formation, trolley refuges, side drains, yard drains, catch water drains, etc. including leading usable cut spoils up to 200 M and making formation in filling (as detailed in item no. 1001) using the cut spoils, site clearances, setting out and demarcation, disposing off surplus unusable cut spoils as per directions of the engineer, and top and side dressing and compaction of cutting formation to provide final formation as per designed profile. The rate shall include 1 compaction of cutting formation and initial compaction of sub-soil where cut-spoils are used in filling. The rate shall not include cutting of trees with girth above 30 cm and compaction of cut spoils in filling, which shall be paid separately. Note- (1) Rock spoils such as stones, boulders, pebbles, gravels etc available from excavation, if are found suitable for use in works as per required specifications even after modifications etc., can be used free of cost but the legally payable royalty and taxes are to be paid by the contractor to the concerned authorities. (2) Payment for earthwork in excavation for pucca drains shall not be payable under this item and the same shall be paid under item no. 7005. 1002(a) - Soil excluding rock.

The rate shall not include cutting of trees with girth above 30 cm and compaction of cut spoils in filling, which shall be paid separately. Note- (1) Rock spoils such as stones, boulders, pebbles, gravels etc available from excavation, if are found suitable for use in works as per required specifications even after modifications etc., can be used free of cost but the legally payable royalty and taxes are to be paid by the contractor to the concerned authorities. (2) Payment for earthwork in excavation for pucca drains shall not be payable under this item and the same shall be paid under item no. 7005. 1002(c)- Hard Rock requiring blasting.

Note- (1) Rock spoils such as stones, boulders, pebbles, gravels etc available from excavation, if are found suitable for use in works as per required specifications even after modifications etc., can be used free of cost but the legally payable royalty and taxes are to be paid by the contractor to the concerned authorities. (2) Payment for earthwork in excavation for pucca drains shall not be payable under this item and the same shall be paid under item no. 7005. 1002(d)- Hard Rock requiring blasting, but blasting not permitted hence to be excavated by chiselling.

The rate shall include compaction of cutting formation and initial compaction of sub-soil where cut-spoils are used in filling. The rate shall not include cutting of trees with girth above 30 cm and compaction of cut spoils in filling, which shall be paid separately. Note- (1) Rock spoils such as stones, boulders, pebbles, gravels etc available from excavation, if are found suitable for use in works as per required specifications even after modifications etc., can be used free of cost but the legally payable royalty and taxes are to be paid by the contractor to the concerned authorities. (2) Payment for earthwork in excavation for pucca drains shall not be payable under this item and the same shall be paid under item no. 7005. 1002(e)- Extra over item 1002c for cutting in rock requiring controlled blasting.

1003 A - "Incremental rate for every Km or part thereof over item 1001(A) for leading earth for 6 construction of Prepared Subgrade beyond1 Km. Note: Lead shall be measured from centre of borrow pit area to centre of a KM (for any particular KM). Borrow pits/ Quarry located with in 1 Km radius shall be taken together for calculation of lead. " 1003(A)(a)Extra Lead beyond 1 Km upto 5 Km per additional Km

1004 - Earthwork in excavation manually in formation, side drains etc., in the alignment including 7 leading usable cut spoils up to 200M and making formation in filling using the cut spoils, site clearances, setting out and demarcation, disposing off surplus unusable cut spoils as per directions of the Engineer and top and side dressing t o provide final formation a s per designed profile. The rate shall not include cutting of trees with girth above 30CM and compaction, which shall be paid separately.

1006 -"Mechanical Compaction of Earth and Blanket materials in layers of about 30 CM (or more or less) in loose state using vibratory compactor (of adequate capacity) so as to achieve compaction as per RDSO 8 Guidelines and Specification for Design of Formation for Heavy Axle Load - Nov 2009. Minimum EV2 Criteria as mentioned in the guidelines is not applicable. Note: The payment for compaction shall be based on the computed quantity of earth work/blanket work from the cross sections. The payment, however, will be restricted only to the approved design profiles furnished by the Engineer; or the actual quantity executed whichever is less. "

1008 - Providing and laying Jute Geo-Textile (JGT) in slopes of Railway embankment in accordance 9 with RDSO's guidelines for application of Jute Geotextile in Railway embankments and hill slopes no. RDSO/2007/GE:G-0008 or its subsequent versions, including incidental earthwork and fixing arrangements (Rate does not include planting of grass) 1008 a - With GJ - Type 1

1012 - Construction of Trolley Refuges in cutting as per RVNL drawing No. RVNL/MAS/TR/01/2009 10 including i) Earthwork in excavation for wall foundation ii) Levelling course with 1:3:6 mix iii) Fly ash brick/brick/stone masonry work in CM 1:5 iv) Casting and erection of precast RCC slabs/cast in situ RCC slabs with all lead and lifts and as directed by Engineer in charge (All labour, materials, consumables including cement and steel by contractor)

1013 - Fabrication and construction of Trolley Refuges in high embankment using RVNL's rails 11 including earthwork in excavation, erection of rail posts and RCC ballast retainers and RCC slabs as per RVNL's drg no. RVNL/MAS/TR/02/2009 as directed by the Engineer in charge (All labour, materials, consumables, leads, lifts including cement and steel by contractor)

1014 - "Strengthening of Trolley Refuge by fixing of three no. released/unserviceable concrete 12 sleepers on edges of trolley refuge including all labour, transportation, loading, unloading, lifting and handling to the location of fixing within a lead of 1 km Note - Extra earth required to fill up to level of sleepers to be paid in relevant BOQ item."

1015 A - "Maintaining including watch & ward and repairs of the barricading provided as per item no. 1015 including cost of all contractors' men, materials, tools and plants required in this regard. Note: The 14 payment will be made for the length maintained during the month at the rate mentioned here till the barricading is required to be maintained at site as per directions of the Engineer. However, a deduction of double the rate mentioned here shall be made for a km, if any length of barricading is found to be missing/damaged/in-effective in that km, before the Engineer has directed for its removal. "

1016 - Providing barricading with the help of fencing along the running track where the work is to be done in close vicinity of the track. The fencing shall be minimum 1.5m high with MS angle posts 1.8 m height of size 50 x 50 x 6mm provided with hooks etc. placed every 2.0m apart, embedded in cement concrete (1:2:4 ) blocks of size 0.23 x 0.23 x 0.23M and every 15th post (or nearer, if there is abrupt change of ground slope), last but one end post and corner post shall be strutted on both sides and end post one side only and struts embedded 15 in cement concrete (1:2:4) block of size 0.23x0.23x0.23 M, provided with 5 horizontal lines and two diagonals of G.I. barbed wire 9.38 kg/100m (min) between the two posts fitted and fixed with G.I. staples driven into the posts including 2 bands(red and white) 300 mm long shall be painted with water bound paints on the ballies from top and two bands (100 mm apart) of yellow illumimous tap of width 50 mm shall be pasted on top white band. The rate includes cost of all materials including cement. After execution of all works requiring safety fencing in particular stretch, the fencing shall be removed with the approval of the Engineer-in-charge and formation shall be repaired to its profile and released materials will be contractor's property.

1017 - Conducting test for determination of California Bearing Ratio as per IS: 2720

1018 - Supplying, laying Non-woven Needle Punched and Mechanically or Thermally bonded type Geotextile for use as Separator/Filtration for Railway formation as per RDSO Specification No. 19 RDSO/2018/GE:IRS-0004 - Part I made of Polypropylene / Polyethylene / Polyamide or combination there of having apparent opening size of <= 85 microns and elongation at failure > 50% in both directions including transportation labour, lead & lift complete as directed by Engineer 1018 a - On top of subgrade or prepared subgrade before laying blanketing layer with minimum strengths in Grab test, Trapezoidal Tear test and Puncture test of 700N, 250 N and 1800 N respectively.

1024 - "Compaction of embankment slope using hydraulic slope compactor attached to Excavator 20 by doing 2 or more passes as required to get firm and neat compacted slope of embankment as directed by Engineer. The item is inclusive of all men, materials, equipment, watering arrangement, fuel etc. complete. Note: Daily record of compaction in chainage from... to... shall be jointly signed by representatives of Engineer and Contractor. "

1026 - Conducting in-situ Portable Impulse Plate Load Test (for determination of EV2 as per 21 Comprehensive Guidelines and Specifications for Railway Formation RDSO/2020/GE: IRS-0004) with 'Light Drop Weight Tester', having plate size of 300mm & weight of 10 Kg at identified locations, for measurement of compaction quality of soil {modulus of deformation (Evd) for correlation to Dpr%} and for evaluation of load carrying capacity in stages of formation construction

Earthwork in filling in Lower layer and Top layer of Subgrade in Single layer/ Two layer system respectively of formation including guide bunds, around buried type abutments, bridge approaches, trolley refuges etc using contractor's earth of approved quality as per Comprehensive guidelines and specifications for Railway formation issued vide specification no. RDSO/2020/GE:IRS-0004 in September 2020, procured from outside railway land including site clearances, setting out and demarcation, benching, initial compaction of subsoil after levelling the surface after site clearance, spreading loose earth in layers of maximum 30 cm thickness using grader up to extra width of 0.5 m beyond designed profile, compaction using vibratory compactors, top and side dressing and removal of extra earth from sides to provide final formation as per designed profile as per RDSO Guidelines. The rate shall include cutting of trees with girth upto 30 cm, making good the pockets and depressions left in soil 1 during clearing and uprooting of jungle/trees at site and initial compaction of sub-soil thereafter. The rate shall not include cutting of trees of girth beyond 30 cm and compaction (excluding initial compaction of sub-soil mentioned above), which shall be paid separately. The minimum Ev2 Criteria as mentioned in the guidelines shall be applicable. The rate shall include cost of all field and laboratory tests including those required for subsoil but excluding CBR tests and Plate Load Test for determination of EV2 which will be paid vide separate BOQ items. Subgrade Lower layer and subgrade Top layer with SQ2 category Soil. Note for Item 1001: 1. The category of soil to be used in subgrade shall be locally available soil within a reasonable distance for a block section along the alignment. 2. Please note that Shrinkage Allowance shall be deducted as per provisions of para 7.1.1.5 of RVNL Standard Specifications. 3. The quantities indicated for sub item no. 1001 (a), 1001(b) and 1001 (c) are tentative and may vary depending upon actual availability of the soil for use in subgrade and hence variation in quantities shall be determined combining quantities of item no. 1001(a), 1001(b) and 1001(c) for applicability of new rates as per GCC clause 12.3.

Providing and laying blanketing materials of specifications as per RDSO guidelines for design /Construction of formation on Indian Railway track issued vide letter no. RS/G/108/Heavy Axle Load dated 26.10.2016, using well graded granular material having Cu>7, Cc between 1 and 3, fines (passing 75 microns) between 3% to 10%, minimum Soaked CBR value of 25 and compacted at 100% of MDD in layers of maximum 30 cm thickness in loose state using graders and compaction using vibratory compactors, top and side dressing to provide final formation as per designed profile. The rate shall not include compaction, which shall be paid separately. NOTE: 1) If naturally available materials do not meet the laid down specifications, the blanket material has to be produced by mechanical process using mechanical crushing or mechanical blending method or 2 combination of these two methods as given in the Appendix-C of RDSO Guidelines and Specifications for Design of Formation for Heavy Axle Load -2009. The rate for this item is inclusive of the production of material by mechanical process as per above mentioned RDSO guidelines and in case such mechanical process is not required to be used in providing and laying of blanketing material due to availability of natural blanketing material conforming to laid down specifications, the rate of this item shall be reduced by Rs. 250/- per cum. 2) The filter criteria and minimum EV2 Criteria as mentioned in the guidelines of 2009 is not applicable. 3) The rate shall include cost of all field and laboratory tests except CBR tests which will be paid vide separate BOQ item. 4) The Latest guidelines for Design / Construction of formation on Indian Railway track, issued vide RDSO lr. No. RS/G/108/Heavy axle load dated 26.10.2016 shall be adopted for this item. The basic instructions (other than those contained in the latest guidelines dated 26.10.2016) detailed in GE: G-1 of 2003 and GE:0014 of 2009 shall continue to apply.

Turfing / planting, including all lead and lift, and watering as required until properly rooted, with. Note - Initially payment of only 40% will be made. Balance 60% will be paid only after 3 months of maintenance period if the turfing is properly rooted. Turfing with planted doob grass

Filling suitable, well graded contractor's fine sand of approved quality in weak formation, in layers 4 not exceeding 600 mm depth in loose state, in the entire width of the formation in cutting, below or above natural ground level, or as directed to dimension and slopes shown in cross section sheets or as directed by the Engineer. Compaction upto the required relative density (min.70% of the relative density obtained as per IS: 2720 pt.IV- 1983). Vibratory Roller shall be used to compaction of sand, the cost of which is inclusive in this item.

2001 - Earth work in excavation in foundation of bridges to desired profile. Payment for backfilling shall be made separately. 2001a - Soil excluding rock.

"

2002 - "Dewatering of natural or accumulated water from any location. Payment to be done for Horse power of pump multiplied by pumping hours. The rates include the cost of pumping or bailing out water with the contractor's pump(s), tools, plants, fuel and labour etc complete. Note: 1) In case any work is to be executed in or under water and/or liquid mud/under foul position which requires pumping out, the contractor shall deploy 3 pump(s) of required capacity as directed by the Engineer. The payment under this item shall be permissible for the works which require pumping but the rates of pumping are not included in the item. 2) Whenever pumping out is ordered by the Engineer, a log book shall be maintained duly recording the capacity of the pump(s) deployed and timing of starting and stopping of each pump to arrive at the number of hours for which the pump has worked. This log book has to be signed on daily basis by authorised representative of PMC and contractor till pump is deployed. 3) For payment purposes cumulative time in minutes for each capacity of pump is to be added and divided by 60 to arrive at the number of hours ignoring upto 0.5 hours and rounding off to one hour beyond 0.5 hour. "

2019 - Providing two coats of coal tar epoxy of 150 to 200 microns on R.C.C. substructures of bridges by roller or by airless spray after surface preparation.

2020 - Providing and fixing bridge plaque (750 MM base, 720 MM height triangular section with 400 5 MM thickness) on both sides of parapet using cement concrete of specified mix including engraving bridge number, direction of flow and other details including painting the letters with enamel paint of black colour of approved quality with white back ground as per standards of railway as directed by the engineer.

2021 - Providing and fixing river name boards of size 2.10 M x 1.0 M made of MS sheet 6 MM thick 6 and ISA 50 x 50 x 5 MM frame all around, fixed on rail posts erected with railway's rails fixed in cement concrete base of size 60 CM x 60 CM x 75 CM of CC 1:2:4 including painting with two coats of paint of approved quality and colour over one coat of primer, writing the name of the river in vernacular and English in black colour with yellow back ground as directed by the engineer.

2031 - Providing and fixing of 100 MM dia PVC pipe for weep holes in abutments, wing walls, return walls, face wall, retaining wall etc at suitable intervals as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

2033 - Providing and placing sand/earth filled bags in layers for protection of existing embankment.

2037 - Rail piling upto 5m depth to protect the existing embankment with rails of any section 9 supplied by the employer. The rate includes driving the rails with monkey hammer or any other means into the soil to the depth as directed by the Engineer, including all tools and plants consumable like fuel, lubricant, labour, other material required.

2040 - Manufacturing, supplying and fixing of granite plaque of size 600 x 600 mm with a thickness 10 of 19mm as per details shown in the bridge manual including engraving foundation details, viz. Bridge No., abutment no., pier no., classification of soil, depth of foundation etc., including painting the letters duly fixing over CC platform of size 700 x 700 mm with a thickness of 75mm with all materials including cement, labour, lead and lifts etc., as directed by Engineer in charge

7005 - Earth work in cutting in foundation, trenches, pucca drains in station area/block section etc in 1 all kinds of soil including dressing of sides, ramming of bottoms, back filling of trenches, getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil with all lead and lift as directed by the Engineer. 7005a - In all kinds of soil

7007 - Providing platform surfacing using ; 7007a - Kota stone 25 MM thick on 20 MM cement mortar (1:4) bed including grinding, rubbing and polishing.

7007 - Providing platform surfacing using ; 7007b - Interlocking pavement blocks 100 MM thick over sand bed of 75 MM including edge restraints for confining the blocks as per RDSO drawing #M-00003.

7016 - Providing and fixing pre-painted galvanised sheet 0.6 MM thick with corrugated or trafford design on previously erected purlins or wall frame work for roofing. The colour coating shall be polyester coating 4 over hot dipped galvanised sheet and the sheets will be of minimum high tensile strength of 275 MPa variety. The fixtures used for fixing the sheets shall be as per manufacturer's specifications. Measurement shall include area of MS sheet, valley gutter, ridges etc excluding overlaps. The rate includes provision of 110 MM dia PVC rain water pipes, j bolts & other fixtures, painting of station name on both ends of COP in tri-lingual format.

7017 - Providing GI pipes including laying & jointing with all fittings making connections to water hydrants including connection to source along with excavation & refilling etc. complete. (External Water supply only) 7017a - 15 MM Dia

7018a - Manufacture and supply of Diamond Shaped Retro Reflective Station name Board made out of 2 mm thick aluminum sheets (900mmX900mm) covered with reflective sheet of required color, pressure 6 bonded on to the surface including writing the name of stations in REGIONAL LANGUAGE, ENGLISH and HINDI with computer cut letter with MS frame as per RVNL's standard drawing no. RVNL/Station Diamond Board and fixing the same in position with suitable clamps etc. Complete and as directed by Engineer-in-charge (All Labour, Material etc to be borne by the contractor)

7018c - Manufacture, Supply and Fixing in position of Retro Reflective Primary Station Name Boards of size 2400mmX1590mm made out of Class 316 SS Pipes of Schedule 40S and 2mm thick SS sheet as 7 per RVNL Standard Drawing no RVNL/PF Name Board/2019/Type-II including fixing of High Intensity grade prismatic reflective sheet containing station names as per approved drawing on both sides of board as directed by the engineer in charge ( All labor, materials, consumables etc. including cement and transportation etc shall be borne by the contractor.)

7022 - "Dismantling work including removal and disposal of dismantled material outside railway 8 boundary as directed by the Engineer. Dismantled material will be removed by the contractor at his own cost and the same will become the property of the contractor. Note: Measurement will be done before dismantling the structure." 7022b - Cement concrete

7025 - "Providing and fixing chequered terrazo tiles 22mm thick with graded marble chips of size 6 mm in floors jointed with neat cement slurry mixed with pigment to match the shades of tiles including rubbing and 13 polishing including laying on 20 mm thick bed of cement mortar of 1:4 (1 Cement: 4 Coarse Sand): medium shade using 50% white cement and 50% ordinary cement. Note: The rate is including all leads and lifts and as directed, all labour and materials, adhesives, tools, transportation etc. except ordinary Cement. Ordinary Cement required (other than for manufacture of precast tiles) will be paid separately under relevant BOQ item."

7032- Construction of platform bench made of 100mm to 80mm thick single piece black granite slab 2.00m long and 0.45 to 0.40m wide chamfered at bottom, supported on 2 Nos. of 100mm to 80mm thick black granite slabs of 0.50 x 0.45 to 0.40m size with semi circular cuts at sides and fully polished on all sides above 14 platform level placed vertically with 0.15m buried in concrete 1:3:6 mix below platform surface, connecting the top slab and supports rigidly to correct line, level details as shown in the relevant sketch including demolition of cement concrete, earthwork wherever necessary, disposing all debris away from site with all leads and lifts etc., complete and as directed. (including all labour, material, tools and plants etc. excluding cement which will be paid under relevant item)

7061 - "Providing FOB, platform shelters, height gauge, columns, beams, trusses and other steel components of miscellaneous works duly launched in position with or without traffic block as directed by Engineer with contractors steel conforming to IS:2062-1999 including fabrication, assembly, erection, launching, riveting/welding, bolting, initial coats of zinc chromate priming conforming to relevant IS specification and three 1 subsequent coats of aluminum paint of approved quality conforming to IS:2339 after final erection on all surfaces complete. Rate is inclusive of supply and fixing of MS holding down bolts for IRS type platform shelters and FOBs with required angles. Note: Payment under this item shall be done on the lines of schedule of stage payments for fabrication & erection of girders as specified in para 8.2 of part (h) 'Steel Works' of Chapter-3 (Bridges) of RVNL Standard Specifications for Material and Works - Vol.-I, Engineering Works. Payment for any stage as indicated in para 8.2, if not required for the works under the item, shall be combined with next stage payment."

7062 - Manufacturing, supplying, installation and commissioning of 6-10 M long non-interlocked lifting barriers on either side of road passing through the level crossing within Railway limits with all accessories viz 2 booms, fringes, boom loading device arrangement with its rod run and complete ground fitting, vertical wheel, diversion wheel, steel wire rope with its accessories pedestals, trunion bracket, LB drum, mechanical warning bell arrangement, night light, three lever frame etc complete including painting with flourescent paint. Providing and laying design mix control concrete M20/M25 in piers, retaining walls, wing walls, return walls, bottom/top plug of wells and protection work etc. using well graded stone aggregate of 40 MM/20 MM nominal size.

Providing and laying Design mix control concrete M25/M30/M35/M40 in cast-in-situ RCC works of raft, pile cap, pier, abutment, well steining, RCC well kerb, well cap, pier cap, Jacketing, dirt wall, return wall, wing wall, fly wing wall, retaining wall, approach slab, foot path slab, wearing course, ballast retainers, RCC railing, 2 inspection platform, pedestal, boxes and other miscellaneous works using well graded stone aggregate of 20 MM nominal size. Note: Extra @ 32% of the rate for concreting done for the jacketing work under this item shall be payable and shall deem to include cost of surface preparation, drilling of holes, insertion of dowel bars and grouting of holes etc. required for the work but exclude cost of dowel bars which shall be payable separately under relevant BOQ item.

Providing and laying dry stone backing behind abutments, wing walls, return walls, RCC boxes with stones not less than 15 CM in any direction and not less than 15 KG (except smaller boulders required for filling voids) in weight.

Providing and laying backfill material behind boulder filling of abutments, wing walls, return walls consisting of granular materials of GW, GP, SW groups as per IS 1498-1970 in required profile .

Providing and laying 300 MM thick dry stone pitching in flooring, exposed slopes, etc. with boulders of not less than 30 KG each in weight, hand packed with surface levelled off to the correct section with hammer dressing as necessary including filling the gaps with quarry spalls.

Supplying and filling sand in well/Box Culvert etc of approved quality in layers of 300 MM including watering, ramming.

High/Low level PF wall with precast RCC counterfort segments with design mix control concrete M30 including transportation, hoisting and placing in position segments along with coping, excavation in trenches, laying of concrete bedding, back filling of trench, ramming, joining of segments complete as per drawing no........ [Mention either RDSO drawing no. MA 10870 or any other drawing proposed to be adopted and the analysis per 1 meter length has to be prepared accordingly. If different drawings are adopted for high/low level platform wall then that should be mentioned accordingly and item should be split into two parts (a) & (b).] Note: 1. Levelling course of 1:3:6 concrete should be provided before placing the wall segments. Payment for which shall be paid in BOQ item no. 7002. 2. For low level PF wall, the segments as per RDSO drawing No. MA 10870 will be placed at 690 mm below the rail level. [Modify/delete this note as per requirement, in case RDSO drawing no. MA 10870 is not proposed to be used] 3. 60% of the rate shall be paid on casting and proper curing of precast components at the project site and balance 40% will be paid on fixing the same in position in satisfactory condition.

Providing and laying 1:3:6 cement concrete in drains, foundation and floor using well graded stone aggregate of 40 mm/20 mm nominal size.

Earth work in filling with contractor's earth of approved quality in platform, circulating area, level crossing and other areas including all lead and lift in layers not exceeding 30 CM in depth including mechanical compaction and watering to achieve the desired compaction as per specifications.

7007 (c)Providing platform surfacing using ; Vacuum dewatered cement concrete 100 MM thick of M25 finished with screed board vibrator, vacuum dewatering process and finally finished by floating, brooming with wire brush etc complete.
