House service connections (PP Saddle) PP excluding GST Clamp saddles-PP clamp Saddles shall be maunfactured by injection moulding using virgin polypropylene. Mechanical tapping saddles for water works purposes and designed for use with PVC/PE pipe as per IS 4985/IS 4984 respectively. These saddles should be contoured to fit around the pipe. PP saddles shall be Blue/Black moulded-in with Nickel plated Brass / SS 304 metal female threaded outlets. Seal shall be thermoplastic elastomer rubber suitable for drinking water and nut-bolt-washer with SS. The PP Clamp saddle fittings shall be moulded with SS 304/Nickel plated Brass female threaded outlet inserted to connect necessary fittings. Thread dimension shall conform to IS-554/ISO-7. Adequate thickness of PP shall be provided to hold brass insert in place and avoid leakage while pressure plications. Fasteners shall be threaded type, with SS. Fasteners of size 125mm and above. The grade of raw material used must be certified by WRAS, UK for type test as per BS 6920 from their certified laboratories like NSF International Ltd. UK and certificate of Compliance to be produced for the following parameters: i) Odiur & Flavour of water ii) Appearance of water iii) Growth of Micro Organism iv) Extraction of Substances that may be of concern to public health (Cyto toxicity) v) Extraction of Metals Cost and Supply of Flow Control Valve 20mm 5-10Lpm Supply and Fixing of compression fittings shall comply with ISO 17885 2015, PN-16 rating and manufactured from virgin resin of PE-80 having blue color. Raw material must be WRAS approved as per BS 6920 for effect on water quality intended for human consumption. Compression fittings should have moulded in SS 304 threaded insert outlet with thread dimension confirming to IS 554/ISO 7. Drilling of bore well by Rotary Rig to a finished Diametra of 350 mm justify both sides. (Which may be carried out by pilot bore of sutable Diametre and then reaming to the required Diametre in all formations suitable for Rotary drilling such as alluvial soils,sand stone formation etc., including insertion of 175mm Dia PVC blue casing pipe upto the depth as directed by the department including gravel packing,fixing of bailplug,clampset bore development,conducting yield test,crew charges and transportation charges of Rig etc. and other supporting vehicles and all other charges required in the fixation of pipes assembly compiete including all labour charges etc. any where in E.G.Dist but exclude the cost of metarials.The bore should be developed with compressed air till clear water free from sand and other materials is contionously discharged. The gravel packing should have minimum annualar thickness of 70mm. The gravel should be throughly washed before packing .The gravel packing should be in such a way that the theoritical quantity is consumed completely The pipe assembly should be securely clamped. The entire work should be executed confirming to IS 2800 part I &II / 1979. ( But excluding the cost of casing pipe ) including Contractor's profit 13.615%.
