The integration of the Old and New Dry Dock-II at Sri Vijaya Puram, A&N Islands, with a suitable methodology to arrest the ingress of sea water, constructing RCC deck slab, dock wall and demolishing the existing end wall to maintain the Dry Dock in operational condition. These methodology and work plans should be reviewed and vetted by the successful Bidder through IITM. The required works will be carried out, with rates determined on a job-work basis, to ensure the project is completed in its entirety, restoring the dry dock to full operational condition. a. Mobilization of machinery to the work site and commencing the work satisfactorily with the mobilized equipments as per the list of equipments proposed. b. Arresting ingress of water with suitable method and clearing / removal of earth /debris from the working place including pile head cutting, preparation of bed surface either by PCC or by precast RCC slabs to facilitate for casting of raft / deck slab. c. Dewatering arrangements with suitable pumps as per the site requirements d. Casting of raft / deck slab with RCC M40 concrete to a thickness of 800 mm (at the level of (-) 5.80 m to (-) 5.0 m) by extending from chainage 79.50m to chainage 85.00m after cleaning the existing face of concrete, bending, straightening and lapping the existing reinforcement, providing construction joint with suitable adhesive for bonding etc. complete. e. Casting RCC M 40 (design mix) side walls (both Southern and Northern sides) of dry docks from (-)5.00 m to (+)3.50 m level including all RCC counterforts, for connecting / integrating both docks including chipping and cleaning the existing face of concrete, applying bonding adhesives, bending, straightening, lapping the existing reinforcement with new reinforcements as per design drawing, providing new reinforcement, providing construction joint with suitable adhesive for bonding, water proofing membrane/sealant, anchors, dowel rods, all steel form works including cost of all materials, workmanship etc. complete. f. Providing expansion joint between the old and new dock at the deck slab and dock wall sections including cutting and removal of existing concrete, providing reinforcement, suitable membranes, dowel rods, anchoring arrangements, plugging the gaps, if any, with suitable modern concretes, sealing with suitable joint filers with appropriate sealant to prevent water leakages, and finishing with suitable concrete pedestals of appropriate size etc. complete. g. Cutting/dismantling the existing RCC End wall, toe wall, and counterfort walls including staging arrangements, cost of all charges for cutting and finishing the surface with appropriate materials to integrate both the docks as single unit (dock).
