Providing and laying of Heavy-Duty Membranes of Polymer modified Bituminous Polymeric Polyethylene Membrane on horizontal surface consisting of five layers with a center core of HMHDPE sandwiched between two layer of polymerized bitumen and finally with top and bottom layers of thermo fusible HMHDPE films. The polythene membrane to be placed on the base consisting of the 2 layers of polymer modified bituminous membrane of about 1 mm thickness, laid over a layer of bituminous primer and using hot mineral asphalt for each layer. The vertical surface will have a layer of Heavy-Duty Polymeric Polyethylene felt of 1mm thickness with 75mm and 100mm side and end laps respectively. The membrane constitutes of polymeric bitumen mix and a layer of hessian felt type 3 grade 1, each layer laid in hot asphalt over a coat of bituminous primer with 75mm and 100mm side and end laps respectively. The specification is taken up at least 300mm above the finished floor level where a chase of 2” width & 2” depth is cut for the specification to be tucked in OR taken up on top of the parapet as required.
The specification should be laid directly on the RCC slab on a gently graded as well as rendered smooth surface.

The gaps between the tiles are grouted with cement mortar admixed with waterproofing compound CH-9. The tiles to be laid to slope.

BARRICADING SITE

Providing and erecting 8.00 metre high temporary barricading at site; each panel of size 2.50mx2.00m made of 40x40x6mm angle iron or 50x50x3mm hollow MS tube posts/horizontal members/bracings covered with 1.63mm thick MS sheet. The sheet shall be fixed with 30x5mm MS flat by suitable welding/riveting. The panels shall be made so that gap of 50cm above the ground is available making overall height as 8m. MS channel ISLC 75 @ 5.70 kg/m, 50cm long shall be provided at the bottom having oval shaped holes of size 50x25mm at both ends with 50cm long MS angle 40x40x6mm
bracing. Suitable arrangement shall be made to fix the barricading to avoid from overturning by providing 250mm long expansion fasteners at both ends. The work shall be executed as per drawing/direction of Engineer-in-Charge which includes writing and painting, arrangement for traffic diversion such as traffic signals during construction at site for day and night, glow lamps, reflective signs, marking, flags, caution tape as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The barricading provided shall be retained in position at site continuously i/c shifting of barricading from one location to another location as many times as required during the execution of the entire work till its completion. Rate include its maintenance for damages, painting, all incidentals, labour materials, equipments and works required to execute the job. The barricading shall not be removed without prior approval of Engineerin-Charge. The location of barricading area should be as/drawing provided by architect.
Note: This item includes the rate of repairing work after removal of barricading.

All items have to be quoted for. Price Quoted includes cost of material, labour, fabrication, hardware, packing / protection, transportation, lead / lift and delivery, installation at site including making power supply / water supply / drainage / ventilation related connections and commissioning wherever necessary. Nothing extra will be payable on any account beyond the quoted price of the item. Unless specifically mentioned otherwise in the contract, the tenderer shall quote for the finished items and shall provide for the complete cost towards labours, materials, wastages, plant and machinery, operational costs, levies, taxes, maintenance till handing over, contingencies, overheads, profits and all incidental items not specifically mentioned but reasonably implied and necessary to complete the works according to the contract.

Rates quoted shall include Preliminaries and Overheads, especially those incurred for the cost of all scaffolding work to built make-shift lift, demarcation, isolation and access management of the areas where work is being carried out and areas which are to remain functional through the course of the work. Nothing extra shall be payable for any cost incurred by the contractor in carrying out all work necessary for creation of alternate access routes , optimization of Working Hours for on-site work/ delay of work due to any presence of any UN delegates or for any measures required for preventing the spread of noise, dust, material residue, debris and fumes from spreading beyond these demarcated areas.

The bidders are requested to inspect the site and obtain for themselves at their own expense all necessary information and particulars to enable them to submit the tender.

Demolished / Dismantled material must be stacked in area mentioned by UN House in such a way that at no point of time does the weight of the demolished material exceed 100 kg / sq m of area of the floor on which it is stacked. Demolished / Dismantled material will be kept dry and no water will allowed to seep in and accumulate in the stacking. All such demolished / dismantled material shall be removed at regular intervals in bags / wrappings without any damage to common areas outside the premises and as per prevalent rules imposed by statutory authorities like NDMC or other authorities.

The quantities of the various items mentioned in the schedule of items are approximate and may vary or be deleted altogether. The quoted rates of each item shall remain firm for all works and quantities. The contractor, in his own interest, should get an indication of the probable extent of the work to be executed under any particular item in this schedule, before undertaking any preliminary and enabling work or purchasing bought out components related to the work.

Items of work provided in this schedule but not covered in the specifications shall be executed strictly as per instructions of the Architect/ engineer-in-charge/ Project Management Consultant.

Architect/ Engineer-in-charge's/ Project Management Consultant decision shall be final and binding on the contractor regarding clarifications of items in this schedule with respect to the other sections of the Contract.

The cost quoted to include providing general house-keeping support for the entire site inclusive of all dedicated labours and supervisory personnel at all times of work, across the entire facility. Cost to include all equipment's, consumables, protective and safety measures, at site and site office, maintenance of site and site office (if required) on daily basis and providing necessary amenities like Water supply for office, Drinking water, Electricity back up in case of power cuts, Dedicated Human recourses for the same and other office facilities as instructed by Clients/ Project Management Consultant. etc. The site and site office shall be kept clean to the complete satisfaction and based on instructions from the Project Managers. For storage of material, UN House will provide a designated storage area.
