NRB/INRP(O)/SFSF/2019/OPA-23734 01 /02/2019 Annexure-A Scope of work and Technical specification Name of the work: Assistance in Operation of SFSF Tarapur SCOPE OF WORK: Assistance in operation of SFSF and repair to equipment’s the plants involves execution of Task-J as described below. Typical nature & quantum of work is given below Sr. No Title of work Description of work 1 Task-J (Assistance in operation of SFSF- T) Assistance in operation of SFSF systems including 1. Receipt & dispatch of shipping cask up to 2 cask or Under water handling of spent fuel trays and empty trays, fuel bundles; upto 10 Nos 2. a. Collection and delivery of sample for pool water, cation and anion bed to lab as per requirement. b. Collection of sample report from PREFRE lab 3. a. Operation of DM plant for generation up to 3 m³ and pumping to plant. Record conductivity and pH of DM water produced. b. Operation of pumps and valves as per requirement. 4. a. Chemical handling and Preparation of solution for regeneration of cation and anion exchangers as per requirement. b. Replacement of cation cartridge filters up to 1 as per requirement. 5. a. Operation of pumps for Polishing system b. Operation of valves for Polishing system 6 a. Operation of pumps for pool water recirculation b. Operation of valves for pool water recirculation TERMS & CONDITIONS: 1. Minimum 5 technicians are required in general shift on each working day to execute one Task. All the workers are to be paid applicable minimum wages. Provident fund (PF), Insurance schemes for the workers shall be borne by the contractor. Records with respect to workers wages, PF, insurance shall be maintained and produced on demand for verification. NRB/INRP(O)/SFSF/2019/OPA-23734 01 /02/2019 2. Testimonials & experience certificates personnel deployed by the vendor will be verified and evaluated for suitability of the task by BARC officials. They shall have valid PVC. 3. Personnel deployed shall be sincere, co-operative and cordial. 4. Spares, consumable and tools required shall be issued from BARC free of cost for the work except industrial personal protective wear. 5. Radiation monitoring requirements : i) For issuing TLD, DRD to contract worker two copies of pass port size photograph & medical fitness certificate of individual worker is to be furnished in the prescribed format from registered medical practitioner. ii) Whole body counting of individual worker will be carried out before starting of the works and after the completion of the works. iii) Dose record of current calendar year (work under taken year) shall be furnished if any. iv) Pregnant Lady contract workers are not allowed to work in radioactive areas. v) All working persons shall have more than 18 years of age. vi) The dose limit for contract worker in the year is 1500 millirem. vii) All the works inside the high block of PREFRE will be under SWP (special work permit) procedures only. viii) Basic radiation safety training will be given to contract worker and supervisor before starting the radioactive areas. ix) Contract workers shall follow health physics procedures and shall use hand gloves, overshoes, boiler suits, respiratory protection as and when required. x) Estimated manRem consumption for the works is 5 manRem. 6. BARC in no way shall be responsible to any injury sustained by crew during the course of the work. 7. Payment: Monthly running account bill in the prescribed format shall be submitted along with measurement book to the Accounts officer through EIC. The payment shall be made within 15 days.
