Providing Cofferdam made up of Earth or bags filled with impervious material such as clay for the construction of substructure of bridge as per technical Specification with all Contractor's labour, materials, tools and plants, dewatering, etc. complete with all lead & lift. Note: 1. The height and length of cofferdam shall be decided as per site conditions and approved by the Engineer-In- 4 Charge. Railway's decision is final and binding on the contractor. 2. Top width of cofferdam maximumpayable is 1.50m with 1:1 side slopes or actual provided whichever is less for 3 sides and 3.50 m for one side with 1:1 side slopes or actual provided whichever is less. The wider side will be used as working platform cum access for vehicle for work if required. 3. Payment for coffer dam for particular structure will be made only once in execution period. Payment for rebuilding of cofferdam due to any reason, such as flood, monsoon shall not be accepted. 4. Released material/ earth of cofferdam shall be used for embankment after completion of substructure work if required. 5. Quantity paid under this item will be deducted from total quantity payable under item of earthwork in embankment with contractor's earth if it is used for embankment. 6. Coffer dam shall be removed from the all stream, river, nallah, culvert etc. before monsoon of every year to avoid any obstruction to natural flow in river/creek in monsoon. 7. Payment for dismantling of coffer dam will be made in relevant item.

Dismantling Cofferdam made up of Earth or sand/clay for the construction of Abutment complete with Contractor's labour, materials, tools and plants etc. complete and disposing released earth suitably.

Providing and laying ready mix plain Cement Concrete (RMC) of M-20 grade produced from approved microprocessor controlled automatic batching plant for PCC/levelling course, steps, Drains, Pathway or any other similar location with well graded machine crushed stone aggregate of size not more than 20 mm of approved quality including form work wherever necessary, compacting, curing etc. complete with all contractor's labour, materials, tool & plant, and placing by pump/placer boom/crane & bucket as directed by the engineer including dewatering & de-slushing, all lead and lift, 6 crossing of track, etc. complete as per specification and direction of engineer in charge. (Minimum cement & flyash (Pozzolona) content per cum concrete shall be 300 kg & 50 Kg respectively & Maximum W/C ratio 0.40) Note: 1. Rate is inclusive of Chloride free admixture such as super plasticizer. 2. Only construction joint shall be permitted. 3. Form work shall be approved by Engineer- in -charge before use. 4. The contractor shall install microprocesser controlled automatic batching plant of suitable capacity or use RMC for the concreting work, except for the location and components of small work permitted by Engineer in charge for use of self loading concrete mixer capable of recording and printing ingredients' weight electronically.

Providing design mixed M- 25 grade Cement Concrete produced from approved microprocessor controlled automatic batching plant, for Mass Concrete Bridge work in Abutment, Pier, Face Wall, Return walls, Toe wall etc.with Maximum aggregate size of 40/20mm crushed graded stone aggregate and sand of approved quality including all lead & lift, dewatering, weigh batching, mechanical mixing, compaction, curing including using all types of form work, shuttering, centering, scaffolding, etc. complete with all contractors labour, cement, material, construction chemicals such as plasticizer, retarder etc, plants & machineries with all lead & lift complete as per technical 7 specifications. (Minimum cement & flyash (Pozzolona) content in per cum concrete shall be 350 kg & 60 Kg respectively & Maximum W/C ratio 0.42.) Note: 1. Rate is inclusive of Chloride free admixture such as super plasticizer. 2. Only construction joint shall be permitted. 3. Form work shall be approved by Engineer- in -charge before use. 4. The contractor shall install microprocesser controlled automatic batching plant of suitable capacity or use RMC for the concreting work, except for the location and components of small work permitted by Engineer in charge for use of self loading concrete mixer capable of recording and printing ingredients' weight electronically. 5. Rate shall be inclusive of using equipment like placer boom/concrete pump/ crane bucket method for pouring/placing of concrete in its final position, with all contractors labours, tools, plants, machinery, consumables, etc complete. 6. For Concreting without RMC, deduction at the Rate of Rs 500 per cum will be made.

Providing Reinforced Cement Concrete, ready mix concrete (RMC) produced from approved microprocessor controlled automatic batching plant with 20 mm size graded machine crushed stone aggregate with form work of approved quality and material, shuttering, staging and scaffolding, dewatering, placing using pumps/placer boom/crane & bucket, compaction, finishing the surface and curing of concrete etc. with all contractors tools, plants, labours and materials of approved quality, all lead and lift, crossing of tracks, etc complete as per specification & direction of 8 Engineer -In-Charge. Note: 1. Rate is inclusive of Chloride free admixture such as super plasticizer. 2. Only construction joint shall be permitted. 3. Form work shall be approved by Engineer- in -charge before use. 4. The contractor shall install microprocesser controlled automatic batching plant of suitable capacity or use RMC for the concreting work, except for the location and components of small work permitted by Engineer in charge for use of self loading concrete mixer capable of recording and printing ingredients' weight electronically. 5. Rate shall be inclusive of using equipment like placer boom/concrete pump/ crane bucket method for pouring/placing of concrete in its final position, with all contractors labours, tools, plants, machinery, consumables, etc complete. 6. For Concreting without RMC, deduction at the Rate of Rs 600 per cum will be made.

Providing design mixed M-45 grade cement concrete produced from microprocessor controlled batching and mixing plant, with Maximum aggregate size(MAS) of 20mm graded stone aggregates for precast post-tensioned Prestressed Concrete Girders & precast post-tension prestressed concrete slabs(casting in yard) & launching of girders/slabs with all contractors labour, material, tools and plants including all lead and lift etc. complete as per technical specification. (Minimum ordinary Portland cement and micro silica content per cum concrete shall be 440 kg & 30 Kg respectively & Maximum W/C ratio 0.35). The rate of the item is inclusive of 1. Providing HDPE pipes for future HTS strand if any. 2. Platform, formwork, shuttering, centering, scaffolding and 9 supporting system for concreting. 3. Mixing, vibrating, compaction and curing of the concrete. 4. Chemical compound such as super plasticizer, retarder, silica fumes etc. 5. Necessary transportation, handling, lifting, lowering, sliding, aligning, levelling erecting and launching of Girders to its final position from casting yard. 6. Embedding of arrangement for fixing of bearings, if any. 7. Cost of all materials, cement, labour, plants & machinery etc. complete. 8. all lead and lifts Notes:- 1. Ready Mixed concrete produced from approved microprocessor controlled automatic concrete mixing & batching plant shall only be used. 2. No construction joint or cold joint will be permitted. 3. Only Reinforcement steel & HTS wire will be paid separately. 4. 75% payment of this item including reinforcement steel and HTS strand used for each girder will be released after casting and first stage prestressing of girder at casting bed. Balance payment will be released only after launching of girder at its final position and casting of diaphragm of girder if applicable.

Providing, Fabricating, Assembling and erecting in position built up structural steel members from standard structural steel sections procured from primary manufacturer such as SAIL, TISCO, RashtriyaIspat Nigam LTD, Jindal & Essar confirming to IS 2062-2006 (including latest amendment) including welding with approved quality, bolting in foot over bridge, skywalks, columns, ramps, stair cases, sheds, track dividers, fencing etc. with all contractor's material, labours, tool, plant , Equipments, labours, consumables etc. complete with all lead and lift as directed by Engineer. 10a/NS: Structural Members Not requiring any traffic or power block for erection/launching - Working on ramps/staircase of FOBs on either ends (not on platforms), man refuge, skywalks away from track and fencing at boundary and for green patches shall be paid under this item. Note 1. Payment will be made for standard weight of structural steel sections. 2. Rate includes supply of HSFG / Service bolts / 10 HTS bolts etc as may be required (except foundation bolt), nuts, washers, welding, tools & plants, loading & unloading, transport & fuel, labours, all lead and lift, crossing of track if required etc. and item is payable as per weight assessment based on standard sectional weights of members. Weight of bolts & nuts etc. shall not be considered for payment. 3. Stages of Payments :- a. 40% of the payment will be made on receipt of supply of material duly accepted by MRVC at welding depot/ workshop. b. 30% of the payment will be made on fabrication of steel elements and bringing it to the site of work. c. 20% of the payment will be released on erection of steel work at proper location. d. 10% of payment will be released on completion of line and level work of erection and on completion of painting. 4. For welding of FOB/Skywalk girders, submerged arc welding and for columns CO2 welding is to be used and HSFG/HTS bolts of Grade 8.8/ 10.9 to be used for bolting in splicing. 5. An addition in weight for welds and bolts are to be made as follows: a. 3% in case of bolted work b. 2% in case of composite (bolted and welded) work c. 1 % in case of purely welded work. 6. Metalizing and Painting of all structural members will be paid separately under relevant item in the schedule.

Providing, Driving/boring and casting bored Cast in-situ Reinforced Cement Concrete Pile (As per IS :2911 of 1997) in M-40 grade Design Mix Cement Concrete using maximum aggregate size of 20mm machine crushed graded stone aggregate in all types of strata including boring in soil of all type, soft rock, hard rock, boulder etc.to the required depth as decided by the Engineer-in-charge including chiselling in rock and socketing in hard rock as per design requirement, bailing out water, flushing, placing of concrete with tremmie pipe, Chipping off of pile top to remove laitance concrete above cut off level with all contractor's material, cement, labour,tools,plants with all lead and lift etc. complete.as per specifications. Rate is inclusive of weigh-batching of ingredients, mechanical mixing, placing, compaction with tremmi pipe, disposal of excavated materials outside railway premises or as 11 per direction of Engineer-in-charge, levelling of ground, etc complete as per direction of Engineer-in- charge.No extra payment will be made for disposal of surplus earth/debris outside Railway premises. Notes: 1. Boring for piles shall be done by rotary drilling machine only. 2 . Mild steel liner and reinforcement steel will separately be paid under relevent item. 3. Payment for pile will be made from pile cap bottom to founding level only i.e. no empty boring will be paid. 4. Boring by bailer & chisel method will be allowed only with the approval of Engineer In Charge.. 5. Minimum cement content in concrete shall be 425 kg per cum and maximum water content ratio 0.40. Cost of cement is included in Rate. 6. The contractor shall install microprocesser controlled automatic batching plant of suitable capacity or use RMC for the concreting work, except for the location and components of small work permitted by Engineer in charge for use of self loading concrete mixer capable of recording and printing ingredients' weight electronically.

Supplying, fabricating, fixing, driving and providing mild steel liners 6 mm to 8 mm 12 thick as per directions of Engineer-in-charge and permanently left in place cast in steel RCC pile with bending to shape, welding, with all contractor's materials, labour, tool & plant etc. complete as per specifications and direction of Engineer-in-charge. Note:1. Liners shall be provided for full height of pile or upto the depth of refusal of liners including the height of pile to be chipped off or as per the instructions of the Engineer. Liner shall be paid only upto cut off level of pile. Liner above cut off level, if initially provided, shall not be paid. Contractor will be allowed to take away liner-wastage above cut off level. 2. Nothing extra shall be payable for any wastage, fabrication tolerances etc. 3. Depth and thickness of liner shall be decided by Engineer-in-charge at site and his decision shall be final and binding on the contractor.

Providing and placing in position high yield strength deformed TMT bars Fe 500 D procured from primary manufacturer such as SAIL, JINDAL, TISCO or Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd. conforming to IS 1786 of all diameters in R.C.C items. The rates includes supply, loading, unloading, transporting to site, cutting, bending, hooking, placing and fixing in position with contractor's 13 galvanized binding wire of 18 SWG, labour, tools & plants all lead & lift, crossing of tracks etc. as per the approved drawings as directed by the Engineer. Note: (i)The item will be paid only for quantities used actually excluding overlaps other than designed. (ii) The wastage, cut pieces shall be taken away by the contractor and the same will not be paid. (iii) The design overlaps / embedment length only will be paid and other overlaps will not be paid. (iv) Material shall be tested as per IS 1786 (with latest amendments) at the contractor's cost.

Providing and fixing PVC pipe in weep holes, soil waste and Rain water (SWR) pipes single socketed including making joints air and water tight with T- shape rubber rings and rubber lubricants. The rate includes all material, labours, tools and plants, lead, lifts and taxes, octroi etc complete.a) 75 mm dia pipe

Providing two coats of anticorrosive coal tar epoxy Hi Build compound over one primer 15 coat of epoxy zinc phosphate with all lead and lift with all contractors labour, material, tools & plants etc. complete. The item will be operated for exposed face of concrete surface of all the foundations below ground level.

Providing protective coating to exposed concrete face of bridge as per CECRI, 16 Karaikudi - integrated 4 coat system having 1st cost of micaceous iron oxide under coat, second coat polymide primer, third coat of polymide finish coat and last coat of aliphatic acrylic polyurthane finish coat (Bergerthane or similar paint) as per detailed specification in bid document. The item will be operated for concrete surface exposed to environment.

Providing and Fixing temporary barricading to enclose construction area of minimum 2.40 meters high with mild steel angle frame of size 75x75x8 mm and GI corrugated sheet of 0.7mm thickness as per the approved drawings, including foundations. The rate includes one coat of red 17 oxide primer before erection, two coats of approved paint & shade (including MRVC logo at every 15- 20 metre) as per the specifications, erecting in position, welding / bolting. The rate includes cost of materials, labour, transportation, leads, lifts, crossing of tracks, etc., complete. as directed by the engineer. Note: 1. Payment schedule. a) 80% payment will be released on installation as per approved drawing b) Balance 10% payment will be made on completion of work at site as certified and directed by Engineer-in Charge if maintained properly like painting etc. c) Balance 10% will be Released after clearing the site and taking away the material.

Initial Load Testing on Pile Conducting load testing of a single pile Up to following 18 capacity in accordance with IS 2911(Part IV) including installation of loading platform and preparation of pile head or construction of test cap and dismantling of test cap after test etc with all labour, material, tool & plants, equipment, machinery, etc complete as per drawing and specification, as directed by the Engineer

Conducting Pile low strain integrity test as per ASTM D 5882- latest version(code of 19 American Society for Testing)or as per IS 14893 on cast-in -situ RCC pile of any dia. and lifts etc complete as per standard procedure, and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. The rate is inclusive of all equipments, labour, consumable, mobilization of equipments and staff, preparation and submission of reports in 3 copies including site preparation as required for tests.

Conducting High strain Dynamic testing as per ASTM D 4945-89 (Code of AmericanSociety for Testing and Material ) on cast-in -situ RCC pile of 1200 mm diameter inclusive of analysis including all contractor's equipments, manpower, site preparation, build up of pile head, lead and lifts etc complete as per standard procedure, and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. Note :- Rate is inclusive of 1)All equipment such as hammer, crane, steel plate, plywood, fuel, power, water etc. 2)All labour and consumable required 3)Mobilisation of equipments, staff etc. 4)Preparation and submission of Reports in 3 copies. 5)Site preparation 6)Extra length of pile head to be casted for dynamic testing and also dismantling of the same after test.

Providing, fabricating, fixing in position to exact design profiles and prestressing of H.T. steel strands of all classification made from high tensile, Low Relaxation strands conforming to IS:14268 in Prestressed Concrete girders/slabs etc. including supplying, cutting, making into cables with necessary spacers, colour coding, protecting with water soluble oil at all time, including supplying and fixing in position anchorages of approved quality and make conforming to BS:4447, covering with rich epoxy mortar pad of all anchorages, recesses after stressing and anchoring of cables, including supplying and placing spiral corrugated type galvanised metal steel ducts sheathing 21 made up of Cold Rolled Cold Annealed (CRCA) mild steel conforming to IS:513 of required diameter and thickness, placing, bending, routing,fixing, grouting of cable ducts with cement grout after stressing etc. including all lead and lift with contractor's own materials, cement, labours, taxes, equipments, machineries for prestressing etc. complete as per drawings, specifications and direction of Engineer. NOTEs: 1) Only design cut lengths of the cable will be measured for payment against this item. No payment will be paid for wastage of cable. 2) Cost of anchorages, guide tubes, sheathing, bearing plates and grouting etc will not be paid separately. The rate is inclusive of the same. 3) No extra payment will be made for dummy cable ducts sheathing, bearing plates and grouting etc., if any.

Demolishing CC/RCC/Brick work/stone work in foundation, substructure superstructure 22 such as footing, column, beam, landing slab, stair case etc for bridges, building and other structures with all contractors, labours, T & P, taxes, octroi etc complete as directed by Engineer.The demolition scheme shall be got apprioved from Engineer Incharge prior to start of demolition of any structure.All dismantled debris shall be disposed off outside Railway premises at Contractor's cost.

Provision of multipurpose assistants for implementation of project.

Painting the HFL and danger level marks, year of HFL on bridge abutments and piers with ready mixed paint as per standard in two coats over one coat of primer with all materials, labour, tools, scaffolding, all lead and lift etc including writing complete

Providing and laying Non_pressure NP-3 class (medium duty) RCC pipes including collars/spigot jointed with stiff mixture of cement mortar in the propoertion of 1:2 (1 cement: 2 fine Sand) including testing of joints etc. complete. 1200 mm dia RCC pipes. (Layng by manual/mechnaical means)

Providing cast in situ bridge number plaques as per Railway drawing in cement concrete 1:2:4 mix using 20mm hard stone aggregate embedded in 30mm notch in Bridge parapet 28 coping duly engraving the letter and figures and an arrow indicating the direction of flow and finishing the top exposed surface with cement mortar 1:3, painting letters and figures with two coats of black enamel paint on two coats of white back ground with all labour, tools, cement, paint etc.with all lead and lifts.

Exploratory drilling of 100 mm dia bore holes in all types of soils including weathered rocks (RQD upto 50%) except hard rock down up to specified depth up to maximum of 30m below bed/Ground level for important bridges, major bridges, minor bridges, ROBs/RUBs and along the 30 proposed alignment at specified spacing normally at 200m to 300m apart in case of uniform type of soil & closely spaced in critical zones, including cleaning and collection of disturbed & undisturbed soil samples at every change of stratum and interval not exceeding 1.5m (undisturbed soil samples shall be collected a s per I S 2132:1986). T h e cost includes all contractors labours, tools, machinery, equipments including i t s mobilization, demobilization / shifting to each bore hole location of equipments, fuel, labeling and Indexing of samples, the cost of wooden boxes for storage of samples.

Drilling 75mm diameter bore holes vertically through boulders and bed rocks strata 31 using NX size diamond bit using double core barrel with suitable core cutter including collection and logging o f cores in proper sequence, numbering each core etc. All as per BIS specifications for the depths as required for fixing depth and as decided by Engineer in charge, measured beyond the item covered b y i tem NS/11 above w ith contractors labour, tools, plants, machinery, consumables, transport complete and as directed by Engineer-in- charge.

Conducting S P T (Standard Penetration Test)as p e r BIS 2131-1981 including all contractors labour, tools, machinery, equipment, etc covering all costs and complying all provisions of BIS 2131-1981 as directed by Engineer In charge of MRVC

Providing Aluminium Spray Metalizing including applying one coat of etch primer to various members of FOB/Skywalk across the track such as main girders, cross girders, stiffeners, 33 bracings, etc in two layers after preparing surface by sand/grit blasting as per provisions laid in Appendix VII of IRS B-1-2001 code (latest edition) and provisions of bridge manuals with contractor's own materials, tools, plants, labour, loading, unloading, transportation, handling, re-handling, if any including all lead, lifts, descents, crossing of track, etc. complete in all respect and as per direction of the engineer-in-charge.

Providing and applying Epoxy zinc phosphate Primer of "ASIAN", BERGER or similar 34 brand of approved standard and quality on steel works as per specification attached, including cleaning as may be required with all contractors material, labours, tools & plants, machineries, consumables etc. complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and applying with Micaceous Iron Oxide intermediate coat of "ASIAN", 35 BERGER or similar brand of approved standard and quality on steel works as per specification attached, with all contractors material, labours, tools & plants, machineries, consumables etc. complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and applying two coat of Polyurethane Aluminium paint of "ASIAN", BERGER 36 or similar brand of approved standard and quality on steel works as per specification attached, with all contractors material, labours, tools & plants, machineries, consumables etc. complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and removing barricading with the help of portable fencing along the runningtrack where the work is to be done in close vicinity of the track. Fencing shall consist of self supporting steel angles of size 50 x 50 x 0.5 mm colour bond (Zincalume/galvalume) sheet, 1.5m long provided with hooks etc. and embedded in CC 1:2:4 block of size 0.23x0.23x0.23M placed at c/c distance of 2.0 M along the track. 12 mm dia. rods in three horizontal layers tack welded with the angle posts including providing green colour cloth &Retro-reflective tapes in Horizontal & vertical direction. Note: 1. Released material will be the property of the contractor after the completion of work. Rate is also inclusive of protection and maintenance of barricading during construction period. 2. Dismantling of barricading shall be done after approval of Engineer In-Charge. 3. After construction period, extra payment for maintenance of barricading will be made in the relavant item, if barricading is required beyond completion period as approved by Engineer In-Charge.

Providing following machine on hire basis for speeding of the work during block/non- interlocking railway work as directed by engineer in charge at site with all contractors machinery, fuel, operator, crew, assisting labour complete. The rate of hiring the machinery will be per machine per shift per block. One shift means working of 8 hrs or part thereof. The item will be operated during 38 block or Non-interlocking only for the purpose of speeding up the work, for early completion of the work during the block and is intended to be operated to provide additional resources over and above normal resources. The requirement of any machinery for executing a particular item during or prior to block is covered in the rate of relevant items only. The item will be operated at the sole discretion of the engineer for works not directly incidental to scope of work and shall be used in emergency only based on Rly's/ MRVC's requirements.

Providing Environmental Monitoring services from NABL Accredited and recognized by 39 Ministry of Environment & Forest (MoEF) Laboratories with all contractor's equipments, consultant, Technical staff, labours on location decided by MRVC for monitoring following parameters. Rate is inclusive of all charges of Laboratories, testing charges, mobilisation and demobilisation etc. complete.

Payment for ensuring implementation and monitoring of all provisions in Safety, Health and Environmental Manual (SHE Manual) of MRVC during execution of works through entire contract period including deployment of required SHE organization as mentioned in SHE manual with required qualification, arranging training to all workers and staff engaged for work, regular health check up of labours, arranging SHE meetings, SHE Inspection, SHE audit, SHE communication i.e. posters/signages/VIDEO/Audio, SHE housekeeping, Safety training, provision of protective wears, 40 labour welfare measures, Environmental management, traffic management of vehicles for construction activities, etc. complete as detailed in Safety, Health and Environment manual of MRVC. (Total of Amount of item no. 1/NS to item no. 39d/NS- Basic cost of this item) Note: Payment against this item will b edone in each interim payment. Separate SHE organization/team shall be deployed. Penalty will be imposed for failure or voilation in implemenation of SHE manual provisions as mentioned in Part V of MRVC SHE manual. Persist failure oor violation of SHE manual provisions may attract termination of contract. Payment against this item will b edone in each interim payment after recovering penalties imposed if any.
