Supply of RCC (1:2:4) Porcupine (having 6 members each) of size of each member 0.10m x0.10mx 3.00 m reinforced with 4 (four) nos. of 8 mm dia M.S. rod & 6mm dia MS stirrups having 27 cm interval holes of 20 mm dia at 50 cm inside from both ends and in same face and in either face of post another two nos. of hole of size 20 mm dia at 65 cm inside from both ends including properly curing and supply at work site including assembling , laying on land , fixing & tying of bushes with G.I binding wire as directed.

Supplying fitting and fixing and tying the porcupine to each other by steel wire rope@ 6 mm per metre (GI Guy rope 6 mm Steel core) near the top and bottom third portion of each porcupine and anchored into the river bed and bank as necessary by using anchor block with anchor bolt with clamp as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Making cubical bamboo porcupine cages with bamboo of 60 mm to 75mm dia. having length of 2 metre each for all horizontal and vertical struts and 2.8 metre length for diagonal struts, 3 nos. horizontal and 3 nos. vertical struts should be placed equi-distant from each face to make the square cage of outer dimension 75 cm x 75 cm and projecting each strut by 60 cm on all directions. Two nos. diagonals or cross bamboo posts should be placed on each face having their centre tied with the centre of cage properly including fitting, fixing corners, vertical, horizontal and diagonal struts with iron nails not less than 20 cm long and tying corners with 16 SWG galvanized iron wire, filling in the cages with boulders / lump aggregates. Cages built with 10 SWG hexagonal or square pattern 10 cm mesh, with proper lapping, tying and sewing with 10 SWG GI wire including cost of all materials, carriage to site and laying the same in the bed or slope of the river, filling the same with the filler materials complete as per direction of the Engineer - in - Charge but excluding the cost & carriage of boulder / lump aggregate up to site. (N.B::- If G I wire netting is not considered then Rs. 348.00 per cage may be deducted from the following costs, towards cost of wire netting including OH and contractor’s profits.)
