The required prior work experience for the bidder involves completing similar works in the categories of Signal or Telecom, specifically those involving trenching, laying, and testing of signaling or telecom cables. The bidder must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 (seven) years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 30% of the advertised value of the tender. (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the advertised value of the tender. (iii) One similar work costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of the advertised value of the tender. Excavation of trench as per cable route plan in all kinds of soil (1.2 mtr. Depth and 0.3 mtr. to 0.6 mtr width at bottom) and refilling of the trench without bricks and final back filling, ramming and consolidation of soil as well as the disposal of the soil, if any. If the depth of trench is not uniform in a span of 100 M or shorter lengths if site condition demands along 1 the cable run minimum depth will be taken for that particular stretch for payment. This work includes clearing of route from bushes etc. The work shall be done as per the extant practice on Eastern Railway and instructions of Railway Engineer at site. For all trenches from distant signal to home signal and to relay room, the minimum headway above the uppermost cable in the trench should be 600mm. If due to a large no. of cables headway is not available, 4" of 1:2:4 concreting should be done.

Full threaded bolts of 10 mm dia and length 40 mm should be welded in the apparatus cases in such way that the MS flat at apparatus case end can be fixed from outside or from inside. Welding arrangement with accessories and welding materials should be arranged by the contractor for fixing of bolts at equipment end where required as per instruction of site engineer. As per requirement MS flat may be joined with nuts & bolts or to be cut to shorten the length. All hardware and other miscellaneous materials required for installation to be supplied by the contractor except earth electrodes and MS flat.
