The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in similar work for proposed sub-contractors and firms involved for construction. For key personnel, experience in general and experience in the proposed position are required. The bidder should have a minimum of 2 years of experience of the same nature of work. Technical personnel such as a Diploma holder in Civil Engineering, Lab Assistant/Technical (ITI/B.Sc), and Surveyor should also have a minimum of 2 years of experience in testing and quality control of the same nature of work. To qualify for the award of the contract, each bidder should have, in the last five years, achieved a minimum financial turnover of at least the amount equal to the estimated cost of works and satisfactorily completed, as prime Contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third of the estimated cost of work. The bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years and provide details of works in progress or contractually committed. They should also provide evidence of ownership of major items of construction equipment and have a proposal for subcontracting the components of the works for construction/upgradation aggregating not more than 25% of the contract price. As for the value and percentage of similar works completed, the bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as prime Contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third of the estimated cost of work. The bidder needs to provide quantities of work executed, including earthworks, granular sub-base and base, and plant mix paver laid bituminous work. The bidder should also have an undertaking to invest a minimum of cash up to a certain percentage of the contract price of works, but the specific percentage is not mentioned. They should have evidence of access to line(s) of credit and availability of other financial resources/facilities, certified by a banker, which is 10 percent of the contract value. The bidder is required to have prior work experience as a prime contractor in the same name and style, on construction works of a similar nature and volume, over the last five years, and provide a certificate from the Engineer-in-charge and a Chartered Accountant for the value of work remaining to be completed and the total value of civil engineering construction work executed and payments received in the last five years. The minimum amount of liquid assets and/or credit facilities net of other contractual commitments of the successful Bidder shall be 10% of the contract value. The bidder should provide the value of contracts and quantities of work executed, but no specific amount or percentage is specified for similar works completed.
