Under Traffic Block: Dismantling of existing BG turnouts, diamond crossings and derailing switches with all types of rails and sleeper layout, removing rails, switches, crossings, sleepers & fastenings, leveling of ballast to correct profile & stacking all the released materials, sleepers, fastenings, rails, switches & crossings including segregating & stacking at specified locations 24 in a neat and countable manner, within the lead of 250m & all lift, clear of infringements, crossing of track, if any complete, as directed. Note: 1. This item shall be operated only when existing turnout is replaced either with new turnout in case of TTR or with plain track when existing turnout is no more required at that location. 2. Rail cutting will be paid extra under relevant item. 3. Laying of new turnout or plain track on prepared ballast bed, as required, shall be paid separately under relevant item. 1 in 12 Turnout (Under Traffic Block)

Assembling on temporary staging and insertion of all types of turnouts including diamond crossings and derailing switches on prepared ballast bed during traffic block, manually or by contractor's cranes, at specified location with 52Kg / 60Kg rail section on PSC sleepers with Railways rails/sleepers available anywhere within 500m as per standard drawing, duly leading sleepers, rails, 25 switches, crossings, fastenings etc. including rail cutting, drilling, fixing of all components, fittings etc. with housing of tongue rails as per requirement of signaling including crossing of track, filling and spreading of ballast in crib and shoulder as required, linking of turnout with existing track, attending track parameters including lifting, providing one round of packing to make track fit for 20 kmph speed including lubrication of fittings/fastenings, complete in all respect and as directed by Engineer in- charge. Note: Required P.Way fittings shall be supplied at the SSE/P.Way stores. 1 in 12 Turnouts

Assembling and Laying of Improved Switch Expansion Joint (SEJ) on PSC sleepers of any rail section as per RDSO drawing including leading of SEJ rails, sleepers, fittings for a free lead of 250 26 metres, cutting of rails, drilling of holes as required and lubrication of SEJ, gauging, aligning rails, providing temporary connection with adequate welding gap with adjoining rails, providing reference posts at SEJ, first through packing of SEJ portion to make track geometry fit for 30 kmph speed and making ballast profile as per IRPWM. Note: (1) Rail cutting and hole drilling shall be paid separately.(2) One set comprise complete SEJ on both rails at SEJ. Under Traffic Block Conditions

Dismantling & removing existing SEJ (Switch Expansion Joint) assembly during line block and its replacement with plain track as of adjoining section with all fittings including rail cutting 27 and drilling of holes and renewal of special sleepers with PSC Sleepers as directed and aligning rails, providing fishplates and bolts/ temporary connection with adequate welding gap with adjoining rail and ensuring proper track geometry for 30 kmph speed. The release material shall be stacked as directed by Engineer in charge.

Loading of tongue rail, stock rail, switch assembly and crossings of any section and 28 length, SEJ, Glued joint etc. with / without P.Way fittings and fastenings, in Wagon / Truck / trailer including lead up to 250 metre and lift up to 5 metre. In Wagon where mechanical handling is possible and traffic block is not required or in Truck/trailer.

From Truck / Trailer

Manufacturing and fixing buffer stop with Railway supplied rails, cutting, including 35 bending of rails as per plan ,with all contractor's labour, materials, tools, plants etc. and all lead and lift including crossing of track where necessary and as directed by Engineer in charge at site. Note: Excavation, fixing rails in cement concrete, drilling of holes will be paid separately.

Spreading of ballast, from existing stacks available along formation on top or at cess, in required uniform thickness, compaction of ballast layer laid on new formation at all the locations with smooth wheeled power roller of 8-10 tonne capacity to sufficient number of passes to form 36 consolidated ballast bed of approximately 250mm thickness to a width of 4m symmetrical to centre line of proposed track in correct line & level with all ascents & descents, as directed by Engineer in- charge. Note: Item is inclusive of (a) providing ramp for taking roller to formation and removing the same & making good formation after completion of work; (b) redistribution & leveling of excess ballast while rolling to obtain uniform plane cambered surface.

a) Running track site:- Replacement of old sleepers and rails (CTR) by dismantling existing track of all types of sleepers by making 13m loose rail panel (or any suitable length panel) with existing sleepers & SH rail (for removing existing track) with wider base sleepers/revised wider base sleepers at density of 1660 sleepers per Km assembled with loose rail panel (or any suitable rail length panel of SH rail) in PQRS Depot and placing over ballast properly during traffic block after removing panels of old sleeper and SH rail of 13 m loose rail panel (or any suitable length panel) with the use of contractor's PQRS Machine by providing auxilary track with gauge of 3400mm (either with the use of existing rail from existing track or with new rail unloaded by contractor from EUR in block as instructed by SSE/P-way, (if required) over metal/ wooden sleepers, to be provided by Railway, 500 Nos./rail km on both rails at the interval of 2M) and providing fish plates for joining loose SH rail over wider base sleeper for continuity of track and maintaining track parameters as per Para 522 of IRPWM 2020 to keep the track fit for 30kmph. SH rail over new wider base sleepers/revised wider base sleepers to be replaced with new/earlier existing rail on running track (with replacement of rubber pad, liner & greased ERC and greasing of liner contract area. Grease to be used should be of 'o' graphite grease as per IS code 408). As soon as loose rail length of track reaches 500m/750m (as per decision of Railway site engineer i.e. SSE/JE/ P-Way), loading of track panel (SH rail over old normal sleeper and tied with ERC) of approximately 13 m length over Railway wagons and unloading of track 1 panels of the length of 13 m (or any suitable length) and wider base sleepers/revised wider base sleepers will be done during traffic block. TRR with the rail of the length of 250 m to 500m (preferably 20rail panel) will have to be done as soon as track of loose rail exceeds 500m length. Further the contractor will follow instructions of SSE/P-way to relax speed of track upto maximum speed of section as per schedule laid down in IRPWM 2020 para 708 for Machine Tamping with all machine packing related works such as recoupment of crib ballast, shoulder ballast, boxing and dressing. The whole process will continue till completion of work. Auxilary Track (AT) will have to be removed with advancement of CTR work as per direction of Railway (SSE/JE/P-Way). b) PQRS Depot: - Track panel with SH rail of 13 m or any suitable length over wider base sleepers/revised wider base sleepers/revised wider base sleepers will be made with necessary fittings in PQRS Depot. Loading of these panels over Railway Wagons and unloading of released track panels (released from running track) consisting of all types of rails & sleepers from Railway wagon at PQRS depot using Contractor's own portal crane including dismantling and stacking each component of track properly at designated locations. (Note: This item of Complete Track Renewal with wider base sleeper is a composite item and all activities as required will have to be done by the contractor with his/her own PQRS Machine & other machines, tools and plants including all other resources as per requirement of the work (in PQRS depot and during traffic block in running track). Railway will provide wagons and locomotives free of cost for loading/unloading and transportation to/from PQRS Depot/work site (running track) for loose rail panels with normal old sleepers and with wider base sleepers/revised wider base sleepers. Nothing extra will be paid except the rates as mentioned against the item. See full item in Annexure-A

SH rail over new wider base sleepers /revised wider base sleepers to be replaced with new/earlier existing rail on running track (with replacement of rubber pad, liner & greased ERC and greasing of liner contract area. Grease to be used should be of servogem RR3 from Indian oil) as soon as loose rail length of track reaches 500m/750m (as per decision of Railway site engineer i.e. SSE/JE/ P Way). Loading of track panel( SH rail over old normal sleeper and tied with ERC) of approximately 13 m length over Railway wagons and unloading of track panels of the length of 13 m( or any suitable length) and wider base sleeper / revised wider base sleeper will be done during traffic block. TRR with the rail of the length of 250 m to 500m which was removed initially for AT, will have to be done as soon as track of loose rail exceeds 500m length. The whole process will continue till completion of work. Auxiliary Track (AT) will have to be removed with advancement of TSR work as per direction of Railway (SSE/JE/P Way). b) PQRS Depot: - Track panel with SH rail of 13 m or any suitable length over wider base sleepers / revised wider base sleepers will be made with necessary fittings in PQRS Depot. Loading of these panels over Railway Wagons and unloading of released track panels( released from running track) consisting of all types of rails & sleepers from Railway wagon at PQRS depot using Contractor's own portal crane including dismantling and stacking each component of track properly at designated locations. Note: This item of Through sleeper renewal with wider base sleeper / revised wider base sleeper is a composite item and all activities as required will have to be done by the Contractor with his/her own PQRS Machine & other machines, tools and plants including all other resources as per requirement of the work ( in PQRS Depot and during traffic block in running track). Railway will provide wagons and locomotive free of cost for loading/unloading and transportation to/from PQRS Depot/ work site (running track) for loose rail panels with normal old sleepers and with wider base sleepers / revised wider base sleepers. Nothing extra will be paid except the rate as mentioned against the item. Railway will also provide metal/wooden sleepers required for AT, free of cost.(For Final product and Notes refer Annexure-A)
