The required prior work experience for the bidder is related to the total annual volume of civil engineering construction work executed and payments received in the last five years preceding the year in which bids are invited. The bidder should have a minimum of 20 years of experience, with at least five years of experience in handling large road work projects independently for a Degree Holder in Civil Engineering. For other personnel, the experience requirements are as follows: - Minimum 5 years of Experience for a Degree Holder in Civil Engineering - Minimum 2 years of Experience for a Diploma holder in Civil Engineering - Minimum 2 years of Experience in Maintenance of plant & machinery for a Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering - Minimum 2 years of Experience for a Surveyor - Minimum 5 years of Experience in Testing and Quality control in Road Work for a Diploma holder in Civil Engineering in the field testing laboratory - Minimum 2 years of Experience in maintenance of plant & machinery for a Lab Assistant/Technical (ITI/B.Sc) in the field testing laboratory - Minimum 2 years of Experience in testing for a Surveyor in the field testing laboratory The value and percentage of similar works completed are mentioned as follows: - The bidder should have completed similar works of a certain volume, but the exact percentage is not specified. - One Third of the estimated cost of works is mentioned, which is related to the value of similar works completed. - The bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as prime Contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third of the estimated cost of work (excluding maintenance cost for five years) for which the bid is invited. - The bidder should have achieved in any one year a minimum financial turnover (in all cases of civil engineering construction works only) volume of construction work of at least the amount equal to the estimated cost of works (excluding maintenance cost for five years) for which bid has been invited. - The turnover will be indexed at the rate of 8 percent for a year. - Subcontracting is allowed up to 25% of the contract price. - The bidder must provide an undertaking that the bidder will be able to invest a minimum of cash up to the percentage (defined in the Appendix to ITB) of the contract price of works, during the implementation of the works. - The bidder should also provide evidence of access to line(s) of credit and availability of other financial resources/ facilities (10 percent of the contract value) certified by banker. - The minimum amount of liquid assets and/or credit facilities net of other contractual commitments of the successful Bidder shall be 10% of the contract value.
