Multibeam Echo Sounder 01. The vessel block in the dry dock should be positioned in such a way that sufficient working height under the keel for working space. 02. It should be ensure that the drop keel should be in hoist condition prior to the vessel undergo drydock. 03. Ensure that the drop keel should be lashed properly prior to work on the drop keel area. 04. Provide sufficient Lighting under the transducer fitting area on the drop keel (in dock). 05. Water jet cleaning with controlled pressure should be done on the transducer vicinity. Be very cautious while cleaning on the transducer faces. 06. The whole area of drop keel to be pressure washed, sea growth to be cleaned, chipping and painting and renewal of Zinc anodes in the drop keel. 07. Proper protection should be provided to the transducer, its cables while carrying out any hot work or mechanical works on the drop keel. 08. All the transducer faces are to be masked with wood / plywood prior to grid blast / painting. 09. Ensure that these masks should be removed prior to the undocking of the vessel. 10. Supply of antifouling paint "SeaQuantum Ultra-S" along with Primer: "Safeguard Universal ES"(Jotun, Address: P.O.Box 2021, N-3248 Sandefjord, Norway, Manufacturer’s website: http://www.jotun.com) and applied on the multibeam transducer faces. 11. The above mentioned antifouling paint should be applied to the multibeam transducer faces with a thickness of 250µm (wet film thickness) after applying the primer with a thickness of 80µm (Wet film thickness).
