WORKS ON PORT SIDE

Dismantling of the existing Concrete Road(PCC), of average thickness of 1m, to the extent required and/or as directed at site, and then transporting and dumping the debris, in the designated dumping ground located anywhere in the harbour within a lead of 6 Kms, from the damaged Cross-Section A-A (Head), Cross-Section B-B (Transition) and Cross-Section C-C (Trunk) (Both Sides), all as per relevant specifications, drawings and as directed, including all labour, transport, tools, tackles, plants, equipment, machinery, fuel etc., complete.

Dismantling of the existing Crown wall (PCC), to the extent required and/or as directed at site, and then transporting and dumping the debris in the designated dumping ground located anywhere in the harbour within a lead of 6 Kms, from the damaged Cross-Section A-A (Head), Cross-Section B-B (Transition) and Cross-Section C-C (Trunk) (Both Sides), all as per relevant specifications, drawings and as directed, including all labour, transport, tools, tackles, plants, equipment, machinery, fuel etc., complete.

Removal and stacking of the identified Accropodes from the Port side of the Northern Breakwater of KPL, in the Cross-Section A-A (Head) and Cross-Section B-B (Transition), without damaging the units and/ adjoining units, all as per relevant specifications, drawings and as directed, including all labour, transport, tools, tackles, plants, equipment, machinery, Cranes, fuel etc., complete. Note: 1. The Accropodes which are in good conditions and suitable for reuse shall be transported and stacked properly at an identified location anywhere inside the port limits within a lead of 6 Kms. The unusable Accropodes shall be transported and dumped in the designated dumping place within a lead of 6 Kms. 2.The rates quoted for this item shall include the cost of loading, handling, transporting, and stacking/disposing of the Accropodes fit for reuse / damaged Accropodes respectively at the designated places. 3. The contractor shall engage cranes of suitable capacity and boom length for easy handling and placing at the required place. 4. The contractor shall engage skilled workmen including divers, wherever required, for the work.

Mending and trimming the slope of the Core layer at the Port Side, to ensure formation of the required level as per the relevant new proposed design, drawing specifications, and for the remaining portions, segregating the required size of the stones from the stocks available at the stockyard (ranging 1 kg to 1000kg), cleaning, transporting,dumping / placing stones of Core layer to required level, slope etc.,within lead of 6 km including filling the interstices in between stones to the extent possible to avoid any cavities, at the locations of the damaged sections of the breakwater, all as per relevant specifications, drawings and as directed including all materials, labour, tools, tackles, plants, equipment,machinery , fuel etc. complete. Note: 1. The available stones shall be supplied in ‘as is where is’ conditions at the stock yard at Free of cost 2. The contractor shall engage cranes of suitable capacity and boom length for easy handling and placing at the required place. 3. The contractor shall engage skilled workmen and also divers, whenever required for the work. 4. The rate quoted for this item shall deem to cover formation of the slope in the Core layer of the damaged Cross - Section including supply, filling the interstices with suitable type of material as per the directions of Engineer-in-charge.

Note: 1. The available stones shall be supplied in ‘as is where is’ conditions at the stock yard at Free of cost. 2. Note: 1. The contractor shall engage cranes of suitable capacity and boom length for easy handling and placing at the required place. 2. The contractor shall engage skilled workmen and also divers, whenever required for the work. 3. The rate quoted for this item shall deem to cover formation of the slope in the Under layer of the damaged Cross - Section including supply, filling the interstices with suitable type of material a per the directions of Engineer-in-charge .4.The contractor shall supply all the stones for the work at their own cost.

Segregating the different size of the stones available at the stockyard and identifying the required size of the stones (ranging 2.5 Te to 4.5Te), cleaning, transporting, dumping / placing stones within 6 km lead as Toe Mound layer on the sides of the Core layer of the breakwater as per relevant new specifications, drawings and as directed including all materials, labour, tools, tackles, plants, equipment, machinery, fuel etc. complete. Note: 1. The available stones shall be supplied in ‘as is where is’ conditions at the stock yard at Free of cost 2. The contractor shall engage cranes of suitable capacity and boom length for easy handling and placing at the required place. 3. The contractor shall engage skilled workmen and also the Divers whenever required for the work. 4. Contractor should ensure that the material dumped shall not roll down beyond the specified area and if any such material rolls down and causes hindrance to the ship movement, with the opinion of Engineer-in charge, such materials should be removed by the contractor and clear that area at their own cost.

Supplying, transporting and dumping / placing stones as Toe Mound layer (ranging 2.5 Te. to 4.5 Te.) on the sides of the Core layer of the breakwater as per relevant new specifications, drawings and as directed including all materials, labour, tools, tackles, plants, equipment, machinery, fuel etc. complete. Note: 1. The contractor shall engage cranes of suitable capacity and boom length for easy handling and placing at the required place. 2. The contractor shall engage skilled workmen and also the Divers whenever required for the work. 3. Contractor should ensure that the material dumped shall not roll down beyond the specified area and if any such material rolls down and causes hindrance to the ship movement, with the opinion of Engineer-in charge, such materials should be removed by the contractor and clear that area at their own cost.

Casting Tetrapods with M40 grade Cement Concrete, weighing individually 25 Te. (approx.), using hard granite graded stone aggregate with 40mm nominal size & fine aggregate (Manufacturing Sand Crushed stone sand) all as per relevant specifications, drawings and as directed including shuttering / form work, handling, transporting, vibrating, applying curing compound, numbering, curing etc., all as per relevant schedules including sampling, testing of concrete, labour, material, tools, plants, equipment, cranes, fuel etc., complete. Note : Any damages/cracks to the Tetrapods during casting, handling, placing at location the tetrapods shall be replaced at contractor's cost. The damaged/broken tetrapods shall be disposed by the contractor out of port premises.

Handling, loading, transporting, unloading and placing of the Tetrapods, weighing approx.25 Te., on the seaward slope as Armour unit all as per relevant specifications, drawings and as directed including lifting, handling operations, labour, materials, tools, tackles, cranes, plants and equipment etc., complete. Note: 1. The contractor shall engage cranes of suitable capacity and boom length for easy handling and placing at the required place. 2. The contractor shall engage skilled workmen for the work. 3. The contractor shall engage the divers who have experience in this kind of similar works, to check the formation, alignment, levels etc., of stones as per the design, and to ensure firmly positioning of the Tetrapods. 4. Irrespective of slopes of the bottom layers as existing at site, the slope of the proposed section should match with the design and drawings attached with the Tender to the extent practically possible. Note : Any damages/cracks to the Tetrapods during handling, placing at location the tetrapods shall be replaced at contractor's cost. The damaged/broken tetrapods shall be disposed by the contractor out of port premises.

WORKS ON THE SEA SIDE

Removal and stacking of the identified Accropodes from the Sea side of the Northern Breakwater in the Cross-Section A-A (Head), Cross-Section B-B (Transition) and Cross-Section C-C (Trunk) from the existing breakwater structure without damaging the nearby accropodes all as per relevant specifications, drawings and as directed, including all labour, transport, tools, tackles, plants, equipment, machinery, Cranes, fuel etc., complete. Note: 1. The Accropodes which are in good conditions and suitable for reuse shall be transported and stacked at an identified location anywhere inside the port limits within a lead of 6 Kms and stacked properly. The unusable Accropodes shall be transported and dumped in the designated dumping place within a lead of 6 Kms. 2.The rates quoted for this item shall include the cost of loading, handling, transporting, and stacking/disposing of the Accropodes fit for reuse / damaged Accropodes respectively at the designated places. 3. The contractor shall engage cranes of suitable capacity and boom length for easy handling and placing at the required place. 4. Note: 1. The available stones shall be supplied in ‘as is where is’ conditions at the stock yard at Free of cost 2. Supplying and Laying the Impermeable plastic sheeting 80 microns thick laid flat without creases over the breakwater, where the road and crown wall are to be laid all as per the relevant specifications, drawings and as directed including all materials, labour, tools, tackles, equipment, etc., complete. Note : Wherever overlap of plastic sheets is necessary the same shall be at least 300 mm and any damaged sheeting shall be replaced at the Contractor's expense. The separation membrane may be nailed to the lower layer with concrete nails.

Providing and laying of PCC Road 1000mm thick with M35 grade cement concrete using hard granite graded stone aggregate with 40mm nominal size & fine aggregate (Manufacturing Sand Crushed stone sand) over the 80 micron thickness imepermeable plastic sheet spread over the top of the breakwater prior to laying of road, all as per relevant specifications, drawings and as directed including supplying and placing of weep holes for drainage including shuttering, transporting, placing, vibrating, finishing, curing, cement and all materials, labour, tools, tackles, equipment & machinery, fuel including sampling, testing of concrete including provision of contraction, expansion, construction and longitudinal joints, joint filler, sealant primer, joint sealant, debonding strip, admixtures as approved, curing compound, providing brushed finish, finishing to lines, levels,etc., complete. Note: 1. The Construction joints are need to be provided at the joints of old and new roads. 2. Before laying new road over the old road, hatching of the surface should be done in the old road.

Construction of Crown wall / Parapet wall using PCC M35 grade cement concrete with 40mm metal graded down material of nominal size & fine aggregate (M-Sand /CS-Sand) along the Sea side of the breakwater with tapering slope of 600mm wide at the top and 1m wide at the bottom and 1m height all as per relevant specification, drawings and provided floated finish and expansion joints as directed including all materials, labour, shuttering, tools, tackles, plants, equipment, fuel , vibrating, finishing, curing, tranporting, placing, curing compound, etc. complete.
