The alternator is to be designed, built & tested to IS, BS, IEC or any other equivalent Indian or International Standards. The fuel tank should be fabricated with 14 SWG CRCA MS sheet steel inbuilt removable type sheet metal fuel tank with fuel gauge drain plug and fuel connections, fuel level indicator and with a capacity of not less than 75 Ltrs.Provisions are to be made to filter the sediments, water in the fuel at rear side and provision of vent at top to release the air pressure in the tank. The tank should be painted with noncorrosive and non-flammable paint. The fuel tank should be filled with a minimum level of fuel for test running on full load. The genset should be placed on a concrete bed of suitable dimensions as per PWD standards.
