NOTES:- (i) Job mix formula for the dense bituminous macadam shall be provided by the agency and shall be got approved from Punjab PWD, B&R Research Laboratory Patiala before adoption at site for execution. (ii) The specification of this item for analytic purpose is kept with bitumen content @ 4.50% weight of mix variation as compared with job mix formula shall be paid / deducted accordingly. The limits of variation shall be worked out with the approved formula. TECHNICAL NOTE:- (i) Apart from the confirmity with the grading and quantity requirement of invidual ingredients exhibited above the mix aggregate i.e. coarse and fine aggregate for dense bituminous concrete shall meet all requirements set forth clause 505 of MORT & H specifications. (ii) The final grading for the aggregates required for dense bituminous macadam confirming to table 500.10 of MORT & H specifications shall be determined after getting the dense bituminous macadam designed from Punjab PWD, B&R Research Laboratory Patiala after obtaining 60% of material. The design mix so finally approved shall be termed as the approved mix. The aggregates shall be hydrophobic and of low porosity. The aggregates shall satisfy the physical requirement set fourth in table 500-6 (addendum to latest revision). (iii) The approved mix shall exhibit the following details, source and location of all material: - (iii) (a) Binder expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (iii) (b) Course expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (iii) (c) Crushed bajri expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (iii) (d) Final aggregate expressed as percentage by weight of total mix (iii) (e) A single definite percentage passing each sieve for mixed aggregates. (iii) (f) Density of dense bituminous macadam after compaction will be not less than 2.30 gm/CC.

Providing and installation of solar cateye produced from an engineered polymer selected for superior impact resistance and weather-ability. The top of the solar stud should be transparent for solar charging and light output in active mode. The base of the body shall be yellow or neutral white as approved by Engineer In-charge. The marker shall incorporate a solar panel (comprising of solar cells) for converting solar energy into electricity, a storage device for storing the energy, LEDs for illumination and a design for providing 360 degree smooth illumination. The Solar stud shall be round in shape for providing illumination in all directions. The solar stud shall also have high reflective lenses for conspicuity in passivemode and dual shanks for improved road presence. The solar studs are intended for application directly onto pavement surfaces and shall be applied with epoxy resin adhesives designed for use with raised pavement markers and as supplied by the marker manufacturer separately. The solar cateye shall be of height: 65± 2 mm & Maximum Diameter: 136 ± 4 mm. The body of the solar cateye shall be resistant to dust and water ingress as per IP 65 standards. The marker shall support a load of 13635 Kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280.

SINGLE/ DOUBLE/ TRIPLE/ FOUR/ SIX ARMS BRACKET FOR STEEL TUBULAR POLE: Supply and erection of G.I. Pipe 50mm dia. (Medium) Single/ Double/ Triple/ Four/ Six arm bracket of suitable length welded with MS canopy 125mm inner dia., outer dia 140.8mm (Medium), 450mm long suitable for 3 stepped steel tubular swaged and welded pole with top outer section dia. 114.3mm. The MS canopy should have 3no. holes for fixing the bracket at the top end of the pole with the help of 3Nos. ½" x 1½" size nut bolt fully threaded. The bracket should have MS sheet (1.62mm thick) ring of 140.8mm dia. for covering the top end of the canopy. The MS canopy and GI bracket should be welded at tentative angle 105º (105 degree) inclination with MS sheet 5mm thick triangular in shape having dimensions 225/300/375mm x 150mm x 5mm thick (225mm for 1.5m, 300mm for 2m & 375mm for 2.5m long bracket) with two coats of an approved aluminium paint as desired by Engineer-in-charge at site:- Double Arm Bracket 1.5 metre Long for Steel Tubular Pole (8.5 to 11m)

CEMENT CONCRETE MUFFS: Making of Cement Concrete muff of suitable size and length with 1:2:4 cement concrete mixture. The muff is to be made around the steel tubular pole sufficient to completely flush a SMC Junction Box (Glass Fibre reinforced polyester sheet moulding compound) confirming to IS:14772, inner dimensions 250mm x 200mm x 100mm with ± 10% tolerance in size & hinged water tight cover with locking arrangement having 1No. terminal strip with 4Nos. terminals & 1No. Single pole MCB of required capacity fixed on din bar (Din Bar Provision for 2Nos. MCB's). The SMC Junction Box is to be fixed with the pole by a MS flat clamp of size 20mm x 2mm thick. PVC pipe 40mm dia. (2No.x0.60m) should be provided for incoming and outgoing cables. MS SHEET ENCLOSURE FOR MCCB's:- Supply & Erection of indoor type MCCB enclosure of suitable size having provision for MCCB with extended rotary handle. The Enclosure shall be made from 14/16 SWG CRCA sheet, confirming to IS 8623/1977-82. The door should be double folded without edge and the gasket should be ‘S’ type puffed neutral rubber gasket for long life. The hinges of the door should be bolted type with double hole arrangement. The Enclosure door lock should be quick openable type spring loaded. There should not be any special tool or key to open the lock. The Enclosure will be wall mounting type having provision for cable entry from bottom/top with cable glands etc. The sheet metal is sprayed with corrosion resistant etch primer. SHEET METAL CUBICAL PEDESTAL, TOWER STRUCTURES, HT & LT LINE ITEMS, MS CHANNELS, BRASS GLANDS, ALUMINIUM & COPPER THIMBLES:- Supply and erection of Sheet metal cubical pedestal made from 50mmx50mmx6mm thick MS angle iron frame with 5 sides welded & covered with MS sheet 2mm thick & front side hinged with 4" hinges & locking system with single/ double door openable placed on MS strip of size 12.5mm x 2.5mm thick welded with MS sheet, 4Nos. legs of 50mmx50mmx6mm thick MS angle iron each of 600mm long with MS sheet 100mmx100mmx6mm thick at the bottom end of the legs. Front door welded x-sectionally with MS flat 25mmx5mm. G.I. earth pipe (Cutting threads and 36 Nos. holes, 1cm dia. to make a mesh around the GI Pipe) with G.I. reducing socket including erection of the same, 4.50 metre (14.76 feet) below ground level with 20Kg. charcoal & salt mixture etc., up to 8 metre in length (including boring & refilling). Earthing with 8 S.W.G. (4mm dia.) G.I. wire in 15mm dia G.I. pipe with G.I. reducing socket 50mm x 15mm (upto 8Metre in length)
