The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completed or substantially completed works during the last 07 years. A substantially completed work is defined as an ongoing work where payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value has been made to the contractor. The bidder must have successfully completed or substantially completed any of the following during the last 07 years: (1) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (2) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, (3) One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. In case of composite works, the bidder must have completed or substantially completed: (1) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (2) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (3) One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. The subcontractor shall have successfully completed at least one work similar to work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of work to be subletted, in last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of subcontractor shall be asked for. The average annual contractual turnover of the bidder should be at least the advertised value of the tender divided by the number of years prescribed for completion of work. The bidder needs to submit details of execution of similar work as per the Standard Technical criteria along with a certificate issued by the concerned authority. The value and percentage of similar works completed are as follows: - 30% of the advertised value of the tender for three similar works - 40% of the advertised value of the tender for two similar works - 60% of the advertised value of the tender for one similar work - 35% value of work to be subletted for the subcontractor. The amount for subletting of work is up to Rs 50 lakh.
