The workshop/firm should have required facilities including stud welding machine, SAW welding, suitable cutting machine. 2) The indicative list of firms is given in Special conditions of Annexure 3) The cost of material for structural steel, shear connectors, HSFG bolts, nuts and washers will be paid as per supply item. 4) Contractor has to use HSFG bolts & nuts and shear connectors from approved/reputed manufacturers of fasteners only. The payment for shear connectors i.e. High Tensile Studs confirm to IS: 3935-1966 and HSFG bolts and nuts (Property class-10.9) confirm to IS: 4000-1992 will be made on actual weight with the rate specified as above and no extra rate is payable to these categories. Work should be done as per welding process and system (Quality Assurance System) prepared by Agency as per RDSO guide lines. Transporting, assembling, reverting, metalizing the fabricated steel girder at convenient location close to the ROB location 1 (metalising shall be done for all surfaces except top of top flange and shear connectors).Erecting the metalised girder by road crane of suitable capacity duly providing temporary support and connections to avoid toppling of girder before connecting the diaphragm to the other girders over track span under line block and power block. Metalising the field connection such as diaphragm bracing etc., duly protecting the metalised surface during sand blasting of the rivet heads and adjoining area. Painting of metalised steel sections shall be done as below: a) First coat - Primer to IS - 5666 b) Second coat - Zinc chromium paint to IS:104 c) Third & Fourth coat - Alluminium paint to IS - 2339 (All labour, materials, tools and plants, consumables such as welding rods etc., by contractor.Note : Diaphragm connection and revetting has to be done in-situ duly obtaining suitable line block and power block. Spare crane of required capacity has to be kept during launching of girder. Required temporary connection to secure the first girder to be done at contractor cost. At least two diaphragm connection to be done once the second girder is launched and for the further girders. No extra payment will be paid for the idling of men and machinery if the programmed line of power block is not granted. Metalising has to be done after sand blasting is done to the satisfaction of Railway officials. Metalising of all steel surfaces shall be done by spraying aluminium having 99.50% purity as per Indian Railway Bridge Manual with a coating thickness of 150 micron by minimum two passes.iii) Stage payments will be made as per condition No 10.1 of Annexure in Special Conditions Technical. Payment schedule : i) Fabrication at site - 55% ii) Erecting & launching - 20% iii) Completion including painting & finishing 25%"
