Providing and laying in position machine mixed, machine vibrated and machine batched Design Mix Cement Concrete M35 grade (Cast - in Situ) using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate and coarse sand of approved 18 quality for the following Reinforced cement concrete structural elements up to height of 10 M from foundation top level, including finishing, Using Admixtures in recommended proportions ( as per IS 9103), if approved in Mix design to accelerate or retard setting of concrete and/or improve workability without impairing strength and durability complete as per specifications and direction of the Engineer in charge. Payment for cement, reinforcement and shuttering shall be paid extra Abutment cap, Pier Cap, Inspection Platform & Pedestal over Pier cap, Fender wall, Diaphragm wall, etc.

Supplying and fixing 160mm dia PVC rain water pipes including specials such as bends, shoes and 14 other specials as required etc., including jointing properly, embedding and fixing in walls, columns etc., conforming to IS specifications with contractor's materials, labour, tools, plant, equipment, all lead and lifts etc., complete up to height of 14m above rail level as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Supply of M.S Plates, Angles, Channels & joists HSFG bolts and shear connectors (Studs) for 1 fabrication of Steel girders, M.S. liners etc., to IS Specification No.2062 including all lead, lift, loading, transportation to site of work, unloading, storage including rehandling at site of work complete as directed by the Engineer. Note: Structural steel, M.S. plates of the girder shall confirm to I.S 2062 (E 250 BO) and for M.S angle and channels shall conform to I.S 2062 (E 250 A) steel may be used. "1. Structural Steel : I.S.2062 Gr.B (E 250 BO) 2. HSFG Bolts : I.S.3757 - 1985 (for material specification) 3. Stud (Shear Connectors): I.S.3935 - 1966 (for Design as per RDSO drawing). I.S.11384 - 1985 (for Design as per new code) ISO 13918: 2008 (E) - for automatic stud welding for shear connectors. I.S. 961 - 1975 (for Mechanical/Chemical properties) I.S. 1367 (Part-3) - 2002 (for Mechanical/ Chemical properties)." NOTE: i) THE RATE IS INCLUSIVE SUPPLY OF SHEAR CONNECTORS, HSFG BOLTS/NUTS AS PER RELEVANT CODES/ SPECIFICATIONS. "ii) Payment will be made only for the quantity after actual consumption under the relevant item seperately based on the theoritical/ actual weight whichever is less. Payment will be made for actual steel consumed in the component of work and no payment will be made for any kind of wastage. No advance payment will be made for procurement of steel. The payment for high tensile studs and HSFG bolts and nuts (property class-10.9) will be made on actual weight with the rate specified as above and no extra rate is payble to these categories. Providing and fixing in position 100mm dia. CI drainage spouts of required length with grating in RCC slab and filling bitumen along the kerb as shown in Drg.No.BD-1/69A with contractor's pipes, bitumen, tools, equipment, all lead and lifts etc., complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Fabrication and erection of rail type barricades along the RUB in position using 50R/90R/52Kg rails supplied by Railway at Depot duly excavating the pits of size 450x450x600mm for erection of rail posts of required height in 4 the correct alignment including loading, transportation, unloading of rails from the Depot to site of work, embedding in concrete 1:3:6 using 40mm size hard stone aggregate including cutting, drilling of holes to rails and connecting horizontal rails to the vertical posts with Contractor's bolts and clamps duly painting two coats of primer coat of approved quality as per drawing with Contractor's materials, including cost of cement, labour, tools, plant & machinery with all lead & lifts and cutting etc., as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

"Drilling of 32 mm dia holes in the web of 52 Kg./ 60 Kg./ 90R rails at correct location using contractor's drilling machine, drill bit sets, tools and equipment, labour, consumables, all leads and lifts complete etc., as per 17 specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note : i) Penality of Rs.50/- will be levied on Contractor for each wrong hole drilled and the same will be recovered from the bills. ii) Gapless joint should be provided for CMS X-ing joints at heel and toe duly drilling 26.5 mm hole. iii) Champhering of holes should be done in accordance with IRPWM new para number 251 (5) (C.S.No.51)."

"Preparation and supply of drawings for major /RUBs/ROBs/ minor bridges with general arrangements, new / extension to BG standards (based on completion drawing of existing bridges/ rough sketches supplied by Railway), 1 prepared on Auto CAD on 75 Micron Polythene film with Indian ink with different colour i.e. existing particulars in black & proposed in red colour with contractor's computer, stationery / staff, tools & equipment etc., complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. The name of the drawing shall be written bilingual language both in English & Hindi. Note : Total 6 sets of approved copies of plans shall be supplied by the contractor free of cost to the Railways in addition to the original drawing in tracing cloth or film and soft copy in CD."

Designing and developing detailed reinforcement drawings for the following items for ROB/RUB/Bridge based on the Railways approved GADs, duly collecting the necessary data from Railways & R&B authorities duly designing the members and submission of check plot duly getting proof checked by any of the institutes listed in enclosed Annexure ...... for Railways verification and approval making corrections duly incorporating suggestions in the drawings/designs, further submission of original in transparent film paper and soft copy (CD) for railways approval etc., with contractor's technical expertise and instruments, labour, consumables, repeatedly attending till the final approval etc., complete as 10 directed by the Engineer-in-charge. (e) Steel I girder with RCC Deck slab "Note: i) The design of various elements referred above submitted by the Contractor to the railways for approval should be proof checked by any one of the institutes listed in enclosed Annexure. No extra payment will be arranged for proof checking. The rate provided against each item shall include the cost of proof checking also. For preparation of designs & drawings, special conditions in enclosed Annexure are to be followed. ii) If Railway's designs are available for similar spans, the same will be adopted. The item will be operated subject to non-availability of design & drawings with the Railway for the above item. Railway's decision in this regard is final and binding on the contractor and no claims will be entertained on the plea that railway's designs & drawings are resorted to in actual execution of work. iii) The Superstructure shown in GAD are indicative. The decision of Railways in this regard are final and binding on the contractor and no claims will be entertained on this account."

"Reinforced cement concrete M.30/M.35/M.40 grade cast-in-situ, using controlled concrete by weigh batching/using RMC with Contractor's materials, steel shuttering, staging, scaffolding, supports, labour, tools, plant and 11 machinery, all lead and lifts and curing etc., complete including leaving necessary reinforcement rods for providing parapet as per approved drawings and MOST standard drawings & MOST specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge but excluding cost of OP cement and reinforcement steel. Cost of cement and steel will be paid as per items under respective schedules. Note: The Contractor should use plate vibrators for slab and needle vibrators in the beams. Earth work in excavation for foundations and floors of the bridges, retaining walls etc., including setting 14 out, dressing of sides, ramming of bottom, getting out the excavated material, back filling in layers with approved material and consolidation of the layers by ramming and watering etc. incl. all lift, disposal of surplus soil upto a lead of 300 M, all types of shoring and strutting with all labour and material complete as per drawing and technical specification as directed by Engineer in charge Ordinary rock

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified proportion excluding cost of cement, centering and shuttering - All works upto Plinth level : 1:3:6 (1 cement : 3 sand : 6 graded stone aggregate 20mm nominal size)

Dismantling steel work in single sections including dismembering & stacking within 50m lead in R.S. joists./ Rails

"Cutting of 52 kg. / 60 kg. rails to plumb using contractor's hack saw blades and machines to correct 16 square with contractor's labour tools and equipment, consumables all leads and lifts etc., complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer in-charge. Note : Penality of Rs.100/- will be levied on Contractor for each wrong cut and the same will be recovered from the bills."

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of M 20 grade, excluding the cost of cement and of 5 centering and shuttering, as per direction of the Engineer in charge : All works above plinth level in retaining walls, walls (of any thickness) including attached pilasters, columns, pillars, posts, struts, buttresses, anchor blocks, parapets, copings, bed blocks, string or lacing courses, window sills, fillets, kerbs, steps etc.

Removing check rails and fastenings including removal of fish plates with bolts and nuts, check blocks with bolts and nuts and stacking material-wise etc., with all contractor's labour, tools, plant, all lead and lifts, crossing of tracks, etc., complete and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Leading miscellaneous materials such as iron work, rails, fittings & fastenings, pipes, wooden logs, 2 stones over pitching stone size, RCC/PCC beams / slabs etc and all similar articles (each individual article or bundle being not more than 3.5 metres long in the longest direction) including all loading, unloading and stacking, lead over 500m and upto 10 km. Note : Lead under this item is payable when the same exceeds 500m.

Finishing walls with water proofing cement paint of required shade two or more coats on new work applied @ 3.84 Kg/10 sqm

Fabrication and Erection/launching of Composite Girder of specified span as per approved drawing in well established factories having guided submersed arc welding facilities including welding of shear connectors with steel conforming to IS 2062 (E 250 BO) for structural steel (M.S. Plates of the girder) and M.S. Angles and channels IS-2062 (E 250A) steel may be used. Steel should be tested in approved laboratory or NIT/IIT/ Govt. Engineering colleges. Note: 1) The fabrication of steel girder is to be done at any workshop which is approved by the Engineer-in-charge. The workshop/firm should have required facilities including stud welding machine, SAW welding, suitable cutting machine. 2) The indicative list of firms is given in Special conditions of Annexure 3) The cost of material for structural steel, shear connectors, HSFG bolts, nuts and washers will be paid as per supply item. 4) Contractor has to use HSFG bolts & nuts and shear connectors from approved/reputed manufacturers of fasteners only. The payment for shear connectors i.e. High Tensile Studs confirm to IS: 3935-1966 and HSFG bolts and nuts (Property class-10.9) confirm to IS: 4000-1992 will be made on actual weight with the rate specified as above and no extra rate is payable to these categories. Work should be done as per welding process and system (Quality Assurance System) prepared by Agency as per RDSO guide lines. Transporting, assembling, reverting, metalizing the fabricated steel girder at convenient location close to the ROB location 1 (metalising shall be done for all surfaces except top of top flange and shear connectors).Erecting the metalised girder by road crane of suitable capacity duly providing temporary support and connections to avoid toppling of girder before connecting the diaphragm to the other girders over track span under line block and power block. Metalising the field connection such as diaphragm bracing etc., duly protecting the metalised surface during sand blasting of the rivet heads and adjoining area. Painting of metalised steel sections shall be done as below: a) First coat - Primer to IS - 5666 b) Second coat - Zinc chromium paint to IS:104 c) Third & Fourth coat - Alluminium paint to IS - 2339 (All labour, materials, tools and plants, consumables such as welding rods etc., by contractor.Note : Diaphragm connection and revetting has to be done in-situ duly obtaining suitable line block and power block. Spare crane of required capacity has to be kept during launching of girder. Required temporary connection to secure the first girder to be done at contractor cost. At least two diaphragm connection to be done once the second girder is launched and for the further girders. No extra payment will be paid for the idling of men and machinery if the programmed line of power block is not granted. Metalising has to be done after sand blasting is done to the satisfaction of Railway officials. Metalising of all steel surfaces shall be done by spraying aluminium having 99.50% purity as per Indian Railway Bridge Manual with a coating thickness of 150 micron by minimum two passes.iii) Stage payments will be made as per condition No 10.1 of Annexure in Special Conditions Technical. Payment schedule : i) Fabrication at site - 55% ii) Erecting & launching - 20% iii) Completion including painting & finishing 25%"

Note : The unit caters for bending of two rails on one end."

Insertion of PSC BG sleepers to any density in the exg. BG track to correct gauge spacings even under 5 traffic conditions packing the inserted and approach sleepers to maintain the level etc, with contractor's labour, tools with all lead and lift including respacing of exg. sleepers and re-fixing of fastenings to rails, transportation from the DSK depot to site as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Earth work in excavation for foundations and floors of the bridges, retaining walls etc., including setting 15 out, dressing of sides, ramming of bottom, getting out the excavated material, back filling in layers with approved material and consolidation of the layers by ramming and watering etc. incl. all lift, disposal of surplus soil upto a lead of 300 M, all types of shoring and strutting with all labour and material complete as per drawing and technical specification as directed by Engineer in charge Hard rock ( blasting prohibited )

No extra payment will be arranged for proof checking. The rate provided against each item shall include the cost of proof checking also. For preparation of designs & drawings, special conditions in enclosed Annexure are to be followed. ii) If Railway's designs are available for similar spans, the same will be adopted. The item will be operated subject to non-availability of design & drawings with the Railway for the above item. Dismantling including stacking of serviceable material and disposal of unserviceable material within 50m lead Bituminous top layer of road

Drilling holes in the PSC sleepers at correct locations and fixing Contractor's PVC dowels including filling gap with epoxy for fixing rail screws to fix guard rails at correct locations with all Contractor's labour, tools, consumables, PVC dowels, epoxy etc., complete as per drawing, specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Supplying and laying 160mm dia PVC pipes class-I capable for a pressure of 2.5kg/cm2 in footpath of ROB for laying cable with all contractor's materials, labour, tools, plant and machinery, vehicles, consumables, lead and lift etc., complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Centring and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of form for : Abutment, pier, wing walls and return walls

Removing the exg whistle boards, rail posts, reference rail pegs etc., duly taking all safety measures even under traffic conditions and handing over the released materials at DSK store depot including transportation, loading, 19 unloading, rehandling and stacking materials, classification/item-wise with contractor's labour, tools, vehicles, consumables, all lead and lift etc., complete without damage to the p.way materials as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note : While leading the dismantled debris for disposal the work may have to be carried out by head loads and may involve crossing of existing tracks, pit lines etc., and vehicles may not reach the work spot directly. The rate provided for dismantling include these elements of work and no extra cost will be paid on this account.
