After puttying and final sanding, surfaces shall be sealed with appropriate wood primer, followed by two or more coats of premium-grade paint or wood polish (as specified), applied evenly to achieve a uniform, durable, and blemish-free finish. All exterior-facing areas to be finished with either 1.0mm thick premium decorative laminate (Greenlam, Century, AICA Sunmica, Merino, or approved equivalent) in matte finish, as selected by the officer in charge. The exhibit structures must be engineered to support the integration of TV screens, computer hardware, and peripheral electronic components, including secure mounting zones, concealed cable routing paths, service hatches, and ventilation provisions, as per the detailed drawings. Adequate access must be incorporated for ongoing maintenance and replacement of electronic components without disassembly of the main structure. The fabrication must include all internal bracing, concealed structural supports, precision-machined openings, and complete finishing of all visible elements to achieve a consistent, professional, gallery-grade appearance suitable for long-term use in high-traffic environments. Approximately 20% of the total surface area of each exhibit structure shall be clad with solid surface material such as Corian or approved equivalent, in locations as indicated in the design drawings. Installation shall follow standard solid surface fabrication and finishing techniques, including proper substrate preparation, mechanical fastening where required, seamless jointing with color-matched adhesive, edge profiling, and final surface finishing to achieve a smooth, matte or satin appearance as specified. All exposed edges must be chamfered or rounded for safety and durability. The solid surface cladding shall be securely bonded to prevent delamination, and all joints shall be carefully sanded and polished to appear continuous and uniform. Installation must ensure resistance to impact, moisture, and daily wear, suitable for high-contact public use.
