Providing cable trench and laying of 11kV, 185 sq mm XLPE insulated power cables in the trench. The scope shall include manual excavation of existing earthen cable trench without damaging existing power cable for a depth of 1 meter and a minimum width of 300mm, remove the existing brick, laying of new XLPE, 3x185 sq mm cable along with existing cable, re-packing the brick and backfilling of trenches after cable laying . The scope include transporting, shoring, strutting, dewatering if required, consolidating and disposing of surplus earth, all labour, materials, tools etc. complete as per the directions of Engineer in Charge. The scope also includes supply and spreading /filling of sand in cable trenches, installation of well burnt bricks for cable protection inside cable trenches after laying the cables as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. The bricks shall be laid to enclose the sides of sand bed and cable. Cast iron HT Cable route markers shall also be supplied and installed in every 15 meters above the cable trench. The rates quoted shall be for the length of trench and not for the length of cables. The required quantity of cable (150m) shall be drawn out from 500mtrs cable drum kept at FACT CD main store and transported to work site is also in contractors scope. Crane & Trailer for transportation of cable from store to work site will be arranged by FACT free of cost subject to availability.

Providing straight joint on 11KV, 3x185 sq mm, XLPE/PVC insulated armoured aluminium power cable using heat shrinkable type straight through jointing kits. Supply of suitable Denson/3M/RAYCHEM make kit shall be in contractors scope. All materials required and a licensed cable jointer required shall be supplied/ arranged by the contractor.

Providing end termination on 11KV, 3x185sqmm, XLPE/PVC insulated armoured aluminium power cable using heat shrinkable type end termination kit. Supply of suitable Denson/3M/RAYCHEM make kit and termination shall be in contractor’s scope. Licensed Cable jointer and all materials required for the termination shall be supplied/ arranged by the contractor.
