Reinsulation of Rotor pole

Charges towards re-insulation of rotor pole by removing the old insulation from the coils, checking the inter- turn joints for any cracks and rectifying the same, providing new turn insulation out of class ‘H’ (180 °C) epoxy coated NOMEX paper, pressing and curing the coil at 150C under pressure, providing new pole body insulation out of F class EPOXY glass laminates, placing the coils on the rotor pole body, providing new sole plate to keep the coil locked under pressure, conducting all the tests prescribed in IS, painting the pole body, coil assembly with moisture repellent varnish, rectification of slippage of inter – turn insulation by providing mild steel collar at the back of the field coil and welding it to the pole body by keeping under pressure and conducting the following test at our works. 1.Measurement of insulation resistance 2.Measurement of winding resistance 3.AC High Voltage Test 4.Surge Comparison Test 5.Measurement of AC impedance and power Factor
