huda05 - Sacrificial Anodes for Cathodic Protection: Providing and fixing zinc based sacrificial anodes, like ‘Zn-30’ by tying on to the exposed and cleaned rebars for protection of reinforcement steel against corrosion at about four numbers per square meter of area being repaired. The sacrificial anodes having galvanic anode mass of at least 60 grams based on special zinc alloy encased in conductive mortar shall be tied /fastened firmly to the exposed and cleaned rebars using tie wires of sacrificial anodes. They shall be fixed and tied after thorough cleaning of rebars and application of surface applied corrosion inhibitor, but before the application of anti-corrosive paint to rebars. The anodes shall be soaked in water for about 30 minutes before they are fixed, etc., and complete as per specifications.

This is applied prior to the application of polymer modified repair mortar to have monolithic action between old concrete surface and new polymer repair mortar. huda09 - Repair with Polymer modified mortar (PMM): Repairs to the deteriorated /damaged /cracked RCC elements in the building shall be carried out by using ready to use Polymer modified repair mortar (PMM). The PMM is applied when the epoxy bond coat is still tacky.The ready to use PMM shall be mixed thoroughly in small quantities as per manufacturer’s guidelines and applied manually by using trowel and finish to a required level. For repair thickness more than 20 mm, the ready to use PMM shall be applied in layers with polymer-cement bonding coat in-between layers. Curing for a specified period shall be done as per specifications.

huda13 - Strengthening by GF wrapping: Providing and wrapping 900 GSM unidirectional glass fiber (GF) wrap composite on to the RCC columns and beams after the repairs are completed and curing is done. For columns the uni-directional 900 GSM glass fiber fabric shall be around the columns with an overlap of about 150 mm covering all the four sides of columns. For beams it shall be of either U-shape covering the two sides and the bottom or all around covering the two sides as well as bottom and top depending on the faces available as per the detailed specifications. After the completion of repairs and required curing and drying, the necessary surface preparation including applying compatible epoxy putty, epoxy primer, etc.Applying 1st coat of saturant, fix the GF fabric, followed by 2nd coat of saturant so that the entire fabric gets saturated completely. Press manually by using rollers / spiked rollers gently to remove entrapped air, if any, etc as per detailed specifications.
