The required prior work experience for the bidder includes substantially completed work or completed work. A substantially completed work means an ongoing work in which payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value has been made to the contractor. The bidder must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, - One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. For substantially completed work, the total gross amount already paid, including the price variation amount, shall be considered as the cost of substantially completed work, with a payment of at least 90% of the present contract value. For completed work, the value of the final bill, including the price variation amount, shall be considered as the completion cost of work. If the final bill is pending, only the total gross amount already paid, including the price variation amount, shall be considered as the completion cost of work. In the case of subletting of work, the subcontractor shall have successfully completed at least one work similar to work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of work to be subletted, in last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of subcontractor shall be asked for. The bidder should have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed, costing not less than 35% value of the work to be done, in the last 5 years.
