The damaged portion of the pipes and all the specials ( If damaged during laying & jointing operation of pipe) made form the parent tube shall be provided anticorrosive treatment by applying two coats of anticorrosive bituminous paint over a priming coat as per AWWA specifications C-203-1978. The rates also includes entire carriage of material, flushing, cleaning & hydraulic testing, D.P. test of butt welded joints complete in all respect and to the best satisfaction & direction of Engineer in charge with in all leads and lifts. AUTOMATION OF ENTIRE SYSTEM :- The tenderer/firm shall provide automation proposal for Water Treatment Plant upto out let points of distribution pipes emanating from of Clear Water Tank (Main storage Tank) of WTPwith manifold arranement properly designed and got approved from the department, for proper distribution of the water to sub main storage tanks located at different locations of the scheme . The scope of automation comprises of all units of Water Treatment Plant 3.20 MLD capcity at Deoga, 11 No outlet pipes including scour pipe emanating from clear water tank ( as per data sheet -4 of chapter-1 of Vol-III) inclusive of all delivery/ Junction Points. The plan of the whole scheme for automatin also to be prepared by the firm, the cost of which has been included in the relevant items. Provision of automation of complete project with main SCADA and control station at Village Deoga with remote access at Sub Division office at Salooni. Main storage tank ( Clear Water Tank) shall be controlled from main SCADA station. The GSM based devices shall be installed at differnt outlets of clear water tank which shall send messages through SCADA station at Sub Division office. This data transmission system at tank consists of field instruments for providing digital and analog signals to data transfer module. This module will have a communication to web data transfer system module communication. The PLC station will have control station with programmable graphic process, mimics, real time and historical trending face plate and group display, alarm management and report with Laser Jet printers and required furniture. The controlling devices shall be installed with water meter sensors, flow transmitters and level transmitters. Installation of hardware along with commissioning/programming as per user requirement shall be done. The firm / contractor will provide the bulk metering system at the inlet & multiple outlet points emanating from the Main storage Tank to sub main storage Tanks so that the required discharge at such points could be monitored. Leakage detection mechanism along with necessary provisions also be provided. A separate room of proper size for housing automation system shall be provided at each station. It should also include telecommunication comprising of required number of connections as per actual requirement at site. The automation system installed at above./aforesaid locations should be theft proof and proper ventilation arrangement be made complete in all respects to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.The firm/contractor shall submit complete proposal for automation, to this department for approval of Competent authority, along with presentation before award of project.

The welding electrodes shall be as per IS 814 of Advani Oerlikon/ L&T or ISI marked make. The rates also includes entire carriage of materialwith in all leads and lifts, flushing, cleaning & hydraulic testing , DP test of butt welded joints complete in all respect and to the best satisfaction & direction of Engineer in charge . Regular maintenance of all the facilities including cleaning , washing, oil and greasing repairs, replacement of worn out/damaged parts of pumping machinery, pipe lines, valves and electrical & mechanical equipments, regular cleaning of all structure like , Head weir , Intake Tank ,Pre-sedimantaion tank , WTP, all Storage tanks , collection/distribution chambers & other civil works etc and disposal of waste to a proper point as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge . O&M also includes fixing/repairing leakage in structure, channels, pipe lines, pumping machinery etc., proper disinfection of treated water and regular testing of water samples at required stages of treatment and keeping regular and proper record of water quantity and quality, repair and maintenance work , chemical dosing and time and hour of run of pumping machinery, removal of all kind of slips, slush, up rooting of unwanted grass, shrubs, weeds etc. growing near the structures and keeping the area neat and clean, planting and maintaining plants/flowers/trees around the pump house treatment unit, storage tanks/sump well etc. as per the direction & to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge including the cost of procurement of adequate and proper tools and plants, skilled and unskilled manpower, spare parts, oil/grease/lubricants, chemical (Except bleaching powder) instruments, equipments, stationery and any other material etc. required for O&M excluding the cost of energy charges. All the operation shall be carried out as per the CPHEEO manual on water supply and treatment (latest addition) HP PWD/IPH specification, HP & IPH departmental norms, directions issued by Engineer-in-Charge from time to time and sound Engineering practices. The chlorine gas shall be provided by the contractor it self . (refer terms and condition of O&M as per data sheet 15 Volume I) 1st Year.
