Mastic Asphalt Providing and laying 25 mm/ 50 mm thick mastic asphalt wearing course with paving grade bitumen 85/25 or VG - 30/40 @ 10.2%, fine aggregates, course aggregates, lime filler @ 17.92% of total, prepared by using mastic cooker and laid to required level and slope after cleaning the surface, including providing antiskid surface with bitumen precoated fine-grained hard stone chipping at an approximate spacing of 10 cm centre to centre in both directions, pressed into surface when the temperature of surfaces is not less than 1DDC, protruding 1 mm to 4 mm over mastic surface, all complete as per clause 516 of MORT&H specifications (5th Revision, 2013) Note:- 1.The rates for 50 mm & 40 mm thick layers may be worked out on pro-rata basis. 2.Where tack coat is required to be provided before laying mastic asphalt, the same isrequired to be measured and paid separately. 3.The quantities of binder, filler and aggregates are for estimating purpose. Exact quantities shall be as per mix design. 4.This rate analysis is based on design made by CRRI for a specific case and is meant for estimating purposes only. Actual design is required to be done for each case. (HSR 17 .37)
