The warrenty shall be inclusive of the screen printed or cut out letters/legends and their bonding to the retro-reflective sheeting. The contractor/supplier shall also furnish the LOT numbers and certification that the signs and materials supplied against the assigned work meets all the stipulated requirements and carry the stipulated warranty and that the contractor / supplier is the authorized convertor of the particular sheeting. All signs shall be dated during fabrication with indelible markings to indicate the start of warranty. The warranty shall also cover the replacement obligation by the sheeting manufacturer as well as contractor for replacement/repair/restoration of the retro-reflective efficiency. A certificate in original shall be given by the sheeting manufacturer that its offered retro-reflective sheeting has been tested for various parameters such as co-efficient of retro-reflection, day/night time colour and luminance, shrinkage, flexibility, linear removal, adhesion, impact resistance, specular gloss and fungus resistance; the tests shall be carried out by a Government Laboratory in accordance with various ASTM procedures and the results must show that the sheeting has passes the requirements for all the above mentioned parameters. A copy of the test reports shall be attached with the certificate.

Preparation of berms including filling of Earth work, excavation and cutting of earth in all kind of soils including dressing the bank, side slope to given levels and templates after breaking of clouds, including the cost of rolling and watering all allowances for labour hardness wetness irrespective of all lead and lift and including Compensation for earth taken from private land, fields etc. and compacted to meet requirement of table 300-2 of MoRT&H specification clause No. 305 and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer of the work conforming to PWD specification No. 6.2 and 6.3 and 3.2 and the other specification 1990 Ist edition. As per X-section . This item also includes E/W if required in sub grade for Widening and Shoulder. Earth used for sub grade, shoulder and berms should have minimum CBR of 8%. Note:- No earth work will be allowed to be taken from PWD B&R/ ROW except for surplus earth after approval from Engineer.

The bidder is not required to quote his rate for rouitne maintenace.The rates to be paid for routine maintenance are indicated in the bill of Quantities.Further,the payment for routine maintenace to the contractor shall be regulated based on his performance of maintenance activities.as per chapter eleven of rular road in manual (IRC-SP-20-2002) available on contract data to general conditions of contract. 2. in case of any difference in the Unit & nomenclature of any HSR item of Civil. P.H. work depicted in this DNIT and the given in HSR, the unit and nomenclature given in HSR shall be applicable. 3. Only reputed make material will be used (make / brand exhibited in HSR and exhibited in approved standard document) as approved by Engineer-in-charge, while executing various items / works at site.
