The required prior work experience for the bidder includes: * Achieving a minimum annual financial turnover of at least the annual value of the contract/contracts applied for in any one year over the last five years. * Experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road works) of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. * Substantially completed works are defined as those that are at least 90% completed as of the date of submission. The value and percentage of similar works completed are: - at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract - at least 90 % completed as on the date of submission. Additionally, the bidder should have personnel with adequate experience, and in the case of a joint venture, the lead partner should meet not less than 50 percent of all criteria, while other joint venture partners should have experience not less than 30 percent of the qualifying criteria. The bidder should also have access to liquid assets and/or credit facilities up to 25 percent of the value of the contract/contracts applied. The bidder is also required to provide information on their annual financial turnover for the last five years and employ technically qualified staff, including graduate and diploma civil engineers, depending on the cost of the work to be executed. The cost ranges mentioned for employing staff are: - More than Rs.50 lakhs: Two graduate Civil Engineers and three diploma Civil Engineers - More than Rs.15 lakhs but less than Rs.50 lakhs: One graduate and two Diploma Civil Engineers - Less than Rs.15 lakhs but more than Rs.5 lakhs: Minimum two Diploma Civil Engineers The experience can be acquired as a prime contractor, member of a joint venture, or nominated sub-contractor, with weight given to each joint venture in proportion to their financial participation.
