The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in similar work, with the bidder having completed at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The work should be substantially completed, meaning at least 90% completed. In terms of specific values and percentages, the bidder should have: - A minimum annual financial turnover of the annual value of the contract applied for, in any one year over the last five years. - Completed at least one contract with a value of at least 40% of the proposed contract value, and the work should be substantially completed, meaning at least 90% completed. - For works with a cost of less than Rs. 5 lakhs, the bidder should have a minimum of two Diploma Civil Engineers. - In the case of a joint venture, the lead partner should meet not less than 50 percent of all criteria, and the joint venture must collectively satisfy the criteria. The experience of other joint venture partners shall be considered if it is not less than 30 percent of the qualifying criteria. The available bid capacity is calculated based on the maximum value of work executed in any one year during the last five years, and the value of existing commitments and ongoing works, using the formula: Assessed Available Bid Capacity = (A*N*2-B), where A is the maximum value of work executed, B is the value of existing commitments, and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the works. The bidder must have completed works with a value that allows them to have an available bid capacity more than the total estimated cost of the works.
