Brief Description Of Work -  The Work Includes, But Is Not Limited To, Asphalt Removal, Warm Mix Asphalt Paving, Replacement Of Culverts And Intersection Improvements At The Following Locations, As Further Described In Appendix C – Form Of Contract: Location A – Mccowan Road From 50 M North Of Major Mackenzie Drive To 275 M South Of Elgin Mills Road In The City Of Markham Location B – Bloomington Road From 70 M East Of Ninth Line To 30 M East Of Tenth Line In The Town Of Whitchurch-stouffville Location C – Highway 7 From 50 M East Of Ninth Line To 185 M East Of Donald Cousens Parkway In The City Of Markham Location D – 16th Avenue From 70 M East Of Kennedy Road To 261 M East Of Kennedy Road In The City Of Markham Bidders Are Advised That The Work Will Be Performed During The 2024 Construction Season. Mandatory Requirement:  Certificate Of Recognition (cor):  any Proposals Received From Proponents Who Are Not Certificate Of Recognition (cor) Certified, Who Have Not Obtained Cor Equivalency Or Who Have Not Submitted A Valid Letter Of Reciprocity Shall Be Rejected From Further Consideration. Deposit: Bid Bond(digital Bond):  all Bids Shall Be Accompanied By A Bid Deposit In The Amount Of $250,000.00 In The Form Of A Digital Bid Bond From A Recognized Guarantee Or Surety Company Acceptable To The Region And Authorized By Law To Do Business In The Province Of Ontario. The Form Of Bid Bond Acceptable To The Region Is Attached As Appendix E. Undertaking To Bond(digital Bond) : Bidders Shall Submit A Digital Undertaking To Bond With Their Bid. The Performance Bond In An Amount Equal To 100% Of The Estimated Contract Price. The Form Of Undertaking To Bond Acceptable To The Region Is Attached As Appendix F.
