The Purpose Of This Rfp Is To Provide Unitaid With A Carbon Footprint Assessment Of The Unitaid Secretariat Activities And Portfolio Of Investment, And Accordingly Develop Tailored And Cost Efficient Strategies, Relevant Tools And Performance Indicators For Respectively Reducing Carbon Emissions And measuring Future Progress. Objectives Of The Consultancy The Objectives Of This Consultancy Are Threefold: Establish A Factual Baseline For Evaluating The Carbon Impact Of Unitaid Activities Against Which Future Progress Can Be Measured And Subsequently Verified; Establish Carbon Reduction Objectives Together With A Timeline Towards Carbon Neutrality; And Set Out Tools And Performance Indicators To Drive Future Progress, Make Informed Decisions And Communicate On Unitaid’s Efforts In This Area Of Work. Qualifications And Skills Requirements Unitaid Is Seeking Expert Professionals With Relevant Skills And Technical Qualifications As Well As State-of-the-art Knowledge In: Carbon Footprint Calculations Through Product, Activity Or Process Value Chain Analyses, And Carbon Accounting And Reporting Methodologies, Norms And Regulatory Standards Both The Firm And Consultant(s) Proposed For The Work Must Meet The Following Requirements: Essential Demonstrated, Solid Track Record Of Projects, At Least (10) Projects Successfully And Satisfactorily Completed Within The Last 3 Years In The Areas Of Environmental, Energy And Sustainability Management Especially In Supporting Organizations Analyzing The Carbon Emission Of Their Activities, Processes Or Products Through Complex Value Chains With A View To Devising, Developing And Implementing Decarbonizing Strategies And Eventually Mitigating Climate Impact. Demonstrated Track Records Of Satisfactorily Completed Projects (at Least 1 Within The Last Year) And Proven Methodologies Working Specifically On Carbon Foot Print Or Climate Impact Assessment Of Investment Portfolios, Or For Investment Organizations. Demonstration Of Relevant Experience In Accompanying And Working In Very Close Relationship With, Senior Management Teams, Providing Both Rigorous, Compelling And Science-based Educational Information On Climate And Carbon Related Problematics, Together With Strategic Thinking And Stewardship In Devising And Proposing Carbon Reduction And Change Management Strategies. Desirable Relevant Experience And Knowledge Of The Global Heath And International Aid And Development Sector Would Be A Strong Asset To Especially Build, Discuss And Work With Calculations Scenarios And Credible Sectorial Assumptions. Any Other Relevant Sectorial Knowledge (e.g. Life Science, Pharmaceuticals, Public Health System Management) Would Also Be Of Value.
