Apw: To Develop High Quality Visual Narratives To Document Linkages Between The Social Determinants Of Health (sdh), Community Engagement (ce), Equity, And Health Systems Strengthening During Covid-19 And Beyond Through The Ce Research And Sdh Initiatives (a Multimedia Production Service Provider)   Background At Wpro, Our Ce Strategy Involves Systematic And Integrated Work That Centres Relationship Building; Ce Prioritizes The Forging And Strengthening Of Partnerships With Communities And Community Organizations, Especially Those That Work With Vulnerable Populations And Hard-to-reach Groups. This Is Being Achieved Through Two Sdh/vip Work Streams: The Ce Research And Sdh Initiatives. The Ce Research Initiative (concluding In 2021), Which Supports The Sdh Agenda, Is A ‘proof Of Concept’ Project To Highlight The Many Ways In Which Ce Supports Health System Strengthening During Covid-19 Response And Beyond Through Three Pathfinder Research Teams In Lao Pdr, Cambodia, And Malaysia. The Pathfinder Countries Are Designing And Testing Interventions Focused On Improving Ce Within Hiv/aids Treatment Care Centres In Cambodia, Essential Maternal And Child Health Services In Lao Pdr, And Mental Health Services Among Refugee Populations In Malaysia. In Addition To The Ce Research Initiative, The Sdh Initiative Provides An Opportunity To Build Out Our Long-term (4-8 Years) Sdh Agenda In The Region To Address The Health Inequalities Caused By Covid-19 And The Pre-existing Inequities Exacerbated By The Pandemic. Through Two Pathfinder Countries, Cambodia And The Philippines, The Sdh Initiative Is Implementing Practical And Context-based Ce Approaches To Identify And Reach Vulnerable Groups With Covid-19 Response. Specific Objectives Include Strengthening Surveillance To Monitor The Impact Of Covid-19 On Vulnerable Groups, Building Capacity To Ensure Communities Drive Covid-19 Response, And Strengthening Multi-stakeholder Partnerships To Ensure Enabling Environments For Vulnerable Groups. To Document Wpro's Sdh Approach And Highlight The Linkages Between Ce, Equity, Health Systems Strengthening, And Covid-19, Sdh/vip Is Proposing The Production Of A Series Of Videos And Photos. The Videos And Photos Will Highlight Activities Undertaken At The Country-level And Will Help To Emphasize The Integral Role Of The Sdh Lens And Ce As Essential Strategies To Effectively Respond To Covid-19 And Build More Resilient, People-centred Health Systems That Improve Health Equity For All During The Pandemic And Beyond. This Documentation Also Responds To Who Country Offices’ Requests For Visual Products To Support The Strengthening Of Relationships With Government, Community, And International Partners, Such As Ifrc And Unicef. To This End, Sdh/vip Is Hiring A Supplier To Document, Edit, And Produce A Series Of Photos And Videos, Which Will Support The Work Of Who Country Offices And Wpro.   Purpose/specific Objective Of The Activity To This End, Wpro Is Seeking The Service Of A Multimedia Production Service Provider To Develop High Quality Visual Narratives To Document Linkages Between The Social Determinants Of Health (sdh), Community Engagement (ce), Equity, And Health Systems Strengthening During Covid-19 And Beyond Through The Ce Research And Sdh Initiatives.   Work To Be Performed Objectives Of Activity Covid-19 Has Reinforced The Importance Of The Sdh Lens To Identify And Address The Ways In Which The Pandemic Has Disproportionately Affected Vulnerable Groups And Has Created New And Emerging Vulnerabilities. The Purpose Of The Proposed Work Is To Strengthen The Sdh Agenda Through Ce In The Western Pacific Region And To Contribute Visual Documentation Toward The Evidence Base For Ce. The Objectives Of The Proposed Work Are To Increase Adoption Of Sdh And Ce Approaches Through Highlighting Good Practices To Improve Health Equity Through Health System Strengthening During Covid-19 And Beyond. Method(s) To Carry Out The Activity The Contractor Will Use Video And Photography To Document Wpro’s Comprehensive, Systematic, And Integrated Strategies To Address Sdh And Improve Health Equity Through Ce, As Well As The Work At Country Level In Countries Including Lao Pdr, Cambodia, Malaysia, And The Philippines. The Two Forms Of Documentation – Video And Photo—fulfil Different Purposes. Video Will Be Used As A Medium To Highlight Best Practices And Ce Stories From The Field To Show The Importance Of Ce Practices And Processes For Improving Health Equity. The Video Format Will Also Be Used To Take Stock Of The Sdh And Ce Work In The Region As A Foundation To Identify Future Opportunities For Expanding The Agenda. Photos Will Be Used To Document The Work Of The Ce Research And Sdh Initiatives And Will Be Part Of Wpro’s Multimedia Library To Further Strengthen The Region’s Ce Evidence Base. The Contractual Partner Will Work Closely With Who Country Offices, Wpro Sdh/vip, And Other Project Partners To Co-create Visual Narratives And Document Key Activities, Including But Not Limited To Workshops, Focus Groups, Interviews, And Relationship-building, Where Possible. The Contractual Partner Will Communicate Regularly With Who Throughout The Pre-production, Content Collection, And Finalization Process Of Products. Informed Consent Forms From Subjects Shall Be Secured Prior To Documenting, Videos Soundbites And Photographs. Planned Project Timeline Contract Start Date: 27 Sep 2021 Contract End Date: 15 December 2021 (2.5 Months) (the Contractor Will Be Engaged By Who For A Total Of 33 Days Of Shooting Between 27 September And 15 December 2021, Across Four Countries: Laos Ppdr, Cambodia, Malaysia And The Philippines.)   Qualifications And Experience Education (for Companies; Of The Team Leader)    - A Degree In Communications, Photography, Cinematography, Film, Fine Arts, Narrative, Or Any Related Courses.   Experience - At Least 10 Years In The In The Multimedia Production Field. - Experience In Communications, Visual Storytelling, Co-creation, Collaboration, And Working With Diverse Actors And Stakeholders In The Western Pacific Region Is An Asset. - Experience With Who, Un Agencies And/or International Development Organizations Is An Advantage.   Language Fluent In English   Competencies Producing Results - Produces And Delivers Quality Results.
