Background As The Western Pacific Region’s Population Ages Rapidly, There Has Been A Growing Interest From Countries To Learn And Create Age-friendly Environments. Older People’s Health Is Not Simply Maintained By The Available Health Services But By Their Whole Living Environment, Physical And Social. Creating A Supportive Environment Is Essential For People To Age-in-place While Maintaining Their Intrinsic Capacity And Functional Ability As Long As Possible. This Requires A Multi-sectoral Collaboration To Introduce Right Policies And Services At All Levels, From National To Local Governments. Age-friendly Environments Should Support Healthy Ageing Through Enhancing Health, Social Inclusion And Well-being In Older Age, Taking A Lifelong Approach. As Creating And Transforming Age-friendly Environments Take A Long Time, It Is Important To Understand The Three Dimensions (physical, Social And Services) And The Eight Domains For Different Sectors To Work On Early. Expected Outputs: Output 1. Facilitate And Present On The Background, Main Concept (three Dimensions, And Eight Domains Of The Who Age-friendly Cities And Communities (afcc), Case Studies, Opportunities And Challenges, Application Of Who Tools For Initiating Afcc To Member States And External Partners. Output 2. Provide Feedback And Recommendation During The Activity For Member State’s Plan/strategy For Afcc Output 3. Assessing Age-friendly Environments (virtually Or In Person When Possible)   Purpose/specific Objective Of The Activity The Healthy Ageing Unit Seeks An Expert On The Topic Of Age-friendly Environment And Facilitate Age-friendly Cities And Communities (afcc) Workshop And Recommendations To Member States. Method(s) To Carry Out The Activity Output/s Output 1 Facilitate And Present On The Background, Main Concept (three Dimensions, And Eight Domains Of The Who Age-friendly Cities And Communities (afcc), Case Studies, Opportunities And Challenges, Application Of Who Tools For Initiating Afcc To Member States And External Partners. Deliverable 1.1 Prepare Presentation Slides And Present To Who Focal Points, Member States Counter Parts And Relevant External Partners Deliverable 1.2 Provide Answers To Participants’ Questions After The Presentation And Follow Up On Questions That Require More Detail Via Email Output 2 Provide Feedback And Recommendation During The Activity For Member State’s Plan/strategy For Afcc Deliverable 2.1 Provide A Written Constructive Feedback To Age/dsi For Member State’s Plan/strategy With Actionable Suggestions To Improve The Plan/strategy Output 3 Assessing Age-friendly Environments (virtually Or In Person When Possible) Deliverable 3.1 Conduct An Assessment Visit To A Community/city, Meet With Local Authorities, Community Members (including Older People) Deliverable 3.2 Assessment Report With Tailored Feedback And Suggested Next Steps To Creating Age-friendly Environment   Qualifications And Experience Education A Degree In Public Health, Social Sciences, Urban Planning, Living Environment Or Any Similar Field.
