Background Universal Health Coverage (uhc) Is Vital To Achieving The Sustainable Development Goals Related Not Only To Health And Well-being, But Also Makes A Significant Contribution To Poverty Eradication, Quality Education,  Gender Equality And Women’s Empowerment, Employment And Economic Growth, Reducing Inequalities, And Fostering Partnerships To Ensure Just, Peaceful And Inclusive Societies (a/res/74/2). In 2015, The Regional Committee For The Western Pacific Endorsed The Western Pacific Regional Action Framework On Universal Health Coverage: Moving Towards Better Health (wpr/rc66.r2). The Action Framework Provides A Platform For Advancing Uhc In Countries. It Was Developed To Support The Western Pacific Member States In Realizing The Vision Of Better Health Through Uhc.  In Line With The Request Of The Regional Committee And In Support Of Member States,  The Technical Advisory Group On Universal Health Coverage (uhc Tag) Was Established In April 2016. Since Then, Four Meetings Have Been Convened And Joined By The Wpr's Member States, Who Collaborating Centers, Multilateral And Development Partners Across The Health Sector In 2016, 2017, 2018 And 2020. The Road To Uhc In Member States Is Often Not Linear And Requires Significant Political, Social And Economic Considerations Guided By Evidence On What Works And Does Not. Closely Monitoring Progress And Adjusting Policy, Strategies And Plans In A Timely Manner Are Critical To Avoid Any Setbacks And Ensure Steady Progress Towards Uhc. The Uhc Tag Has Been Used As A Successful Mechanism To Assist Countries To Monitor And Review Actions, Advise On Options For Improvement, And Provide A Regional Platform For Sharing Experiences And Country-to-country Peer Learning.   Purpose/specific Objective Of The Activity The Universal Health Coverage Team Under The Data, Strategy And Innovation Group Is Looking For A Consultant To Provide Technical Support And Inputs On The In The Preparation For The Consultative Meeting With The Uhc Tag Members For Fifth Uhc Tag Meeting.     Description Of Activities To Be Carried Out The Work Will Be Performed At The Regional Office Under The Direct Supervision Of The Coordinator, Universal Health Coverage. Output 1: Provide Assistance In The Preparation For The Fifth Meeting Of  The Technical Advisory Group On Universal Health Coverage In The Western Pacific Region Which Is Scheduled To Be Held From 16-18 November 2021, As Well As With The Pre Tag Meeting And Post Tag Meeting From 15 And 19 November 2021. Deliverables 1.1: Provide Advice And Support In The Preparation Of The Meeting Invitations And Other Documents. Deliverable 1.2:  Ensuring Required Facilities Are Available And Ready For The Events Deliverable 1.3:  Attend Relevant Meetings Involved In The Organization Of The Event To Ensure Coordination Of All Event Elements; Deliverable: 1.4 Ensuring That All Communications Related To The Meeting Has Been Proof-read Before Sending Out To The Participants Deliverable 1.5: Provide Support In Terms Of Meeting Protocols And Practices. Deliverable 1.6: Assist And Coordinate In Obtaining Quotations For Goods Procurement And Proposals For Services Procurement Output 2: Provide Support In The Preparation, Logistics And Post Activities Of The Monthly Wpro Uhc Thematic Webinar Series Deliverables 2.1: Provide Logistical And Coordination Assistance In The Preparation Of The Webinar Invitations And Other Documents. Deliverable 2.2:  Ensuring Required Facilities Are Available And Ready For The Webinars Deliverable 2.3: Support Meeting Invites And Ensure Terms Of Meeting Protocols And Practices. Output 3: Assist In Coordination With Relevant Uhc Team Members And Other Units, Administratively Deliverable 3.1: Assist In Administrative Coordination With Units Under Daf In Terms Of Procurement And Travel Arrangements Deliverable 3.2: Assist And Coordinate In Obtaining Quotations For Goods Procurement And Proposals For Services Procurement And To Support Acceleration Of Activities Implementation To Fully Utilize Awards Expiring In December 2021 Deliverable 3.3: Perform Any Other Duties Relevant To The Activities Of The Unit And/or As Requested.   Qualifications & Experience Education: Essential: University Degree From A Recognized Educational Institution Desired: A Bachelor Of Science Degree In Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, And Related Degrees Experience: Essential: Minimum Of 4 Years' Experience In Administrative And Coordination Functions Desired: At Least 2 Years' Experience In Who Or Any Other Un Agency Is An Advantage Technical Skills And Knowledge: • Exceptionally Strong Writing And Communication Skills • Thorough Knowledge Of Office Procedures. • Ability To Act With Tact, Diplomacy, Discretion And Respect For Confidentiality. • Ability To Prepare Correspondences, Summary Of Meetings, Documentation And Notes For The Record. • Typing Skills, Good Computer Skills And Ability To Learn And Use Different Software Applications. • Ability To Discern Routine From Nonroutine. • Ability To Work Harmoniously As A Member Of A Team, Adapt To Diverse Educational And Cultural Backgrounds, And Maintain A High Standard Of Personal Conduct.
