Background The Western Pacific Region Of The World Health Organization Incorporates A Diverse Group Of Countries With Different Cultural, Political, Social And Economic Backgrounds. The Western Pacific Regional Office (wpro) Of The Who, With The Leadership Of The Regional Director, And With Broad Consultations With All Country Offices And Member States, Published Its Strategy For The Region, For The Future, In 2019, That Provides The Framework For Who/wpro’s Work Over The Next Five Years Across Four Thematic Areas: Health Security (including Antimicrobial Resistance/amr); Ncds And Ageing; Climate Change, The Environment And Health; And Reaching The Unreached—people And Communities Still Afflicted By Infectious Disease, And High Rates Of Maternal And Infant Mortality. The Data, Strategy And Innovation (dsi) Unit Was Set Up In 2019 In Wpro In Response To “for The Future” And Focuses On Innovation, Data And Strategic Engagement With Countries On Health Systems Transformation. Dsi Leads The Health Futures Strategic Dialogue Process For Who Regional Office In The Western Pacific. At The Turn Of The Decade, Foresight And Strategic Planning Were High On The Agenda Of Who In The Western Pacific Region. The Who Regional Committee Endorsed In 2019 The For The Future: Towards The Healthiest And Safest Region – A Collective Vision For Who's Work In The Western Pacific. By Endorsing This Vision, The 37 Countries And Areas In The Region Committed To Putting The Future Up Front And Centre And To Equipping Their Health Systems To Face It.  then The Covid-19 Crisis Hit. Health Systems In The Western Pacific And Across The World Struggled To Cope With The Unprecedented Levels Of Infection, As Staff, Facilities And Supplies Ran Short. At The Same Time Economies Buckled Under The Weight Of Enforced Travel Restrictions, Business Closures And A Vast Range Of Sociocultural Impacts. Against This Backdrop, Foresight And Strategic Planning Are More Important Than Ever. Leaders Across The Region Are Looking To The Future And Thinking Of Ways To Secure Their Nation's Health Systems Against The Next Big Shock.  the “health Futures Forum: Shaping The Future Of Health" Will Build On The Output From The Futures Dialogues And The Key Reflections From The Think Tank On The History Of Pandemics. For Each Topic, A Futurist Will Explore One Or Several Aspects Of A Possible Future And A Historian Will Thereafter Provide Historical Context And Explanation To Such A Future.   Method(s) To Carry Out The Activity The Successful Candidate Will Carry Out All Activities In Their Own Time, With Their Own Software And Equipment. Regular Emails And Virtual Meetings Will Be Required With The Strategic Dialogue, And/or Publications Teams, As Well As External Contractors, To Shape, Finalize, And Approve The Designs (if Needed). A Validation Process On The Piece Will Be Required. Please Include In The Proposal Allocation For Iterations On Account Of The Extensive Approval Process At Who. Please Note That The Report Will Need To Adhere To Multiple Who Approval Protocols For Which Several Iterations Of The Product May Be Required. The Submitted Quotation Must Take Said Multiple Iterations Into Account. Proofreading And High Quality Writing And Analysis Skills Are Critical. This Report Will Go Beyond Collating Information On Speakers’ Insights. in Addition To Collecting Perspectives And Discussions, We Aim To Have A Paper With Reflections, Conclusions And Deeper Insights Regarding Key Dialogues Pertaining To Health Futures In The forum. The Report Will Help To Achieve The Three Aforementioned Objectives Of The Forum: I.e.  (i) Imagine, (ii) Advocate And (iii) Establish It Will Inspire The Reader And Stimulate Thinking On Futures And Foresight – Particularly Its Use In Longer Term Health Policy And Programming. An Audience Discussion Is Anticipated, Aiming To Generate Thinking And Dialogues Based On: • Interactive Break Dialogues Via Videos.
