Background Who's Human Resources Policy Includes The Desirability Of Recruitment Of Staff From As Wide A Geographic Basis As Possible. Some Who Member States Continue To Be Either Unrepresented Or Underrepresented In The International Professional Staff Category. Member States Have Urged The Who Secretariat To Put More Effort Into Addressing This Issue. There Are Four Member States (china, Japan, The Republic Of Korea And Singapore) In The Region Listed As Underrepresented Countries With Large Gaps Between The Desirable Range And The Current Status. Who Regional Office For The Western Pacific Developed A Coaching Workshop In 2016, Known As "go Who", To Encourage Young Health Professionals To Consider A Career With The Organization And To Provide Tips On Succeeding In Who's The Recruitment Process. The Workshop Was Introduced In Japan And The Republic Of Korea And Attracted More Than 300 Young Health Professionals In 2016, 2017 And 2019. The Participants Demonstrated A Passion For Global Health Work And Good Knowledge And Skills In Public Health. It Was Further Proposed To Develop A Two-year On-the-job Training Programme To Attract Young Health Professionals From Those Countries And Equip Them With The Skills To Succeed In A Career In Global Health. The Ministry Of Health And Welfare Of The Republic Of Korea Agreed To Fully Sponsor This Programme.   Purpose/specific Objective Of The Activity The Objective Of The Programme Is To Prepare Promising Young Health Professionals With The Technical Capacity And Practical Work Experience To Contribute To Global Health.  The Following Posts Are Open For Applications, However Only One Fellow Will Be Recruited. Candidates May Apply To Any Or All Of The Following Posts: Primary Healthcare In Manila, Fiji, And Vanuatu Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn And Child Health In Manila And The Solomon Islands   Description Of Activities To Be Carried Out The Descriptions For Each Of The Two Posts Being Advertised Are Detailed In Annexes 1 And 2.   Methods To Carry Out The Activity Timeline/key Activity 1 Month (starting From Feb 2022)   • The Fellow Will Travel From His/her Hometown To Manila And Report To The Country Support Unit, Who Western Pacific Regional Office. • Introduction To Who And Basic Induction • Orientation And Probation To The Programme In The Technical Unit. 22 Months             • The Fellow Will Travel To The Assigned To Country After Finishing Work In The Regional Office.
