Request For Expression Of Interest (eoi) – For Consultancy Services For Implementation Of The School Meals Module Of The Healthy System Approach For Better Education Results (saber & The World Food Programme (wfp) Has Been Supporting Governments Around The World, Including The Government Of The Gambia For More Than Five Decades Through Both Providing School Meals In Schools In Vulnerable Areas, And Providing Technical Assistance To Support Government Ambitions To Improve And Scale Up School Meals. Wfp’s Ultimate Goal Is To Support National Governments In Taking Ownership Of School Meal Programmes And To Transition From Donor Supported Projects To Government Owned, Led And Financed Programmes For Better Sustainability. To Support These Processes Of Strengthening National Ownership, The World Bank And Wfp Have Collaborated To Develop An Assessment Tool Called The Healthy Systems Approach For Better Education Results (healthy Saber). The Healthy Saber Is Developed As A Government Led Self-assessment Tool That Helps Assess The Current School Health And Nutrition Policies And Programmes, Including School Meals, And Other School Health And Nutrition Essential Services Against Internationally Agreed Upon Benchmarks Of Quality School Health And Nutrition Programmes. The Process Of Conducting This Self-assessment Include Multiple Policy Dialogues, National And Sub-national Consultations, And Reviews Of Documentation And Policies, And National And Sub-national Workshops To Validate Findings And Develop A Comprehensive Capacity Strengthening Strategy Action Plan. The Wfp Gambia Office In Supporting The Government Of The Gambia And Through The Ministry Of Basic And Secondary Education (mobse) Seeks A Local Consultancy Firm With Expertise In Education Systems, Facilitating Education Sector Dialogues, Strengthening National School Feeding Programs, And Who Has Previously Led Or Supported National Strategic Planning Processes And Policy Dialogues To Lead The School Meals Module Of The Healthy Saber.
