The bid capacity required in the given tender can be calculated using the formula: Available Bid Capacity = [A x N x 2] – 0.33xNxB Where, A = Maximum value of construction works executed and payment received in any one of the previous three financial years or the current financial year (up to date of inviting tender), N = Number of years prescribed for completion of work for which bids have been invited, B = Value of existing commitments and balance amount of ongoing works with the tenderer as on date one month prior to the tender closing date to be completed in next ‘N’ years. In case of a Joint Venture (JV), the arithmetic sum of individual “bid capacity” of all the members shall be taken as JV’s “bid capacity”. If the available bid capacity is lesser than the estimated cost of work put to tender, the offer shall not be considered even if the bidder has been found eligible in other eligibility criteria/tender requirement.

The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, - One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. In the case of composite works, the tenderer must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, - One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. The amount for similar works is mentioned as a percentage of the advertised value of the tender or each component of the tender, with specific percentages of 30%, 40%, and 60%.
