This Is A Sources Sought Notice Only - This Notice Is In Support Of Market Research To Determine The Feasibility Of A Competitive Acquisition And To Identify Parties Having An Interest In And Having The Capability/resources To Support/provide The H-60 Medevac Fleet With An Air Conditioner To Be Used As A Replacement For The Environmental Control System (ecs). The H-60 Medevac Product Office Is Designated As The Product Manager For The U.s. Army’s H-60 Medevac Aircraft And Will Be The Recipient Customer Of The Products Sought. The Government Is Seeking To Incorporate This Technology Into The Aircraft, To Provide An Alternative Cooling Solution For The Ecs. The North American Industry Classification System (naics) Code Applicable To This Notice Is 336413. The Product Service Codes (psc) Are K015, Modification Of Equipment- Aircraft And Airframe Structural Components, And 1680 (miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories And Components). This Notice Is Issued Solely For Information And Planning Purposes- It Does Not Constitute A Request For Proposal (rfp) Or A Promise To Issue An Rfp In The Future. A Solicitation Is Not Available At This Time. Requests For A Solicitation Will Not Receive A Response. The Government Envisions A Solution For An Air Conditioner That Meets The Following Operational And Program Requirements:
a.1. Non-developmental Item. The Air Conditioner Should Be A Non-developmental Item To The Maximum Extent Possible. The System Should Provide 45,000 Cooling Btus At A Minimum, Weigh 200 Pounds Or Less. Also, The System Should Be Electrically Powered By The Aircraft’s 115v 3-phase Ac Power System And Not Exceed A Total Of 5,800w Per Phase Or 53a Per Phase.
a.2. Qualification The Air Conditioner Must Be Able To Meet The Airworthiness Requirements Outlined In Army Regulation (ar) 70-62. Proof Of Qualification Or At Least A Path To Qualification Should Be Addressed In The Response. B. Requirements The Interested Party Shall Be Capable Of Providing An Air Conditioner Able To Meet The Airworthiness Requirements Described In 1.a Scope Above.
