Tenders are invited for Addison rd water main replacement Description: INVITATION TO BID VILLAGE OF ADDISON ADDISON RD WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT BID NUMBER 21-2-2 Project is located between Oak St and Byron Ave and consists mainly of replacing the existing water main with 12 and 6 inch ductile iron water main, pavement patching and lane resurfacing. Other items of work include horizontal directional drilling, installing casing pipe, reconnecting water services, abandoning the existing water main, disposal of unsuitable materials, storm sewer, various sidewalk, driveway, and curb and gutter replacement, pavement markings, and restoration of all affected areas throughout the jobsite. The Village of Addison will receive sealed bids for the ADDISON RD WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT project to be let as a single contract. Original paper and electronic copy of the bid will be received at the Purchasing office of the Village of Addison, 1 Friendship Plaza, Addison, IL 60101 in DuPage County up to the hour of 10:00 A.M. on June 24, 2021. Sealed bids will be publicly opened and read immediately after the 10:00 A.M. closing time at an on-site location to be announced or posted at the bid drop-off site. The Bid Packet will be available on the Village of Addison website at www.addisonadvantage.org. By registering on the Village%s website, Bidders may view and download the Bid Documents. Addenda, if issued, will be posted on the website and prospective Bidders will be notified. It is the responsibility of the contractor to view said site prior to bid submittal and to insure review of all current specifications and/or addenda, if any. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Deposit (bid bond or cashier%s check) in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid. Bid Bonds must be signed by a surety company authorized to do business in Illinois, and made payable to the Village of Addison. The amount of the bond shall be clearly stated on the bid form. This is the Village%s guarantee that a bidder will execute an agreement and furnish a Performance Bond and Insurance as provided in bid specifications if awarded the contract. Any bid submitted that does not include a bid deposit will be rejected. The successful Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond in the amount equal to one hundred ten percent (110%) of the Contract sum as a security for the faithful performance of this Contract, and a Labor and Mechanical Payment Bond in an amount of not less than one hundred ten percent (110%) of the Contract sum as a security for the payment of all persons performing labor on the Project under this Contract and furnishing materials in connection with this Contract. Minority and Women Owned Businesses (MBE/WBE) AND Section 3 Businesses are encouraged to submit bids on this Project. Federal Labor Standards and Prevailing Wage rates will apply to this project. The Village of Addison reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive minor irregularities in any bid.
